I have tried different types of DNA to make a pet with as high resist as possible. The best I have made was a Bantha (lol)with resists as follows:
HEAT 30
COLD 40
ELECTRICITY 40
THE REST!!: 70
What is the bestU other BE'shave managed to do?

You must have used reapers... as the screechers are the ones with plague strike, and dont have as nice of resists.
DNA with great resists? Blurrg Sand Crawler (I think its crawler.. I forget the last word inthe name) (on Endor)
It has 100 heat/electric resist, which are nice to pake PvP pets out of.
I think the kinetic is like 45 too..
who cares about cold resist!? lol

60 is the cap for Kinetic and if you say you got it to a 70 show I want screen shots cause it aint possible. I don't think anyways. Never been done before that I've seen on these boards..I must see proof please.

As I am not sitting by SWG right now it might be that I am wrong. But I know I got some good resists. One 30, 2 at 40 and the rest 70. Why should 60 be maximum? There are creatures out there with 90% on kinetic resists......
I would like to know....I just started this profession and I love it so U people that has all the knowledge....share it...

The same reason DNA can have plague strike on it, but you can't get it to show up in the clone no matter what you do.
I'd like to see the stats of the actual critter, a pointer on what went into making it, the CL (I mean, I'd believe kinetic 70 on a useless CL80+ critter, though I also don't remember anyone doing the over 60 in general). I Want the most kinetic I can get that can still be used. =)

Well later tonight we will all know if my memory failed me or not. No matter what it is still what I consider good resists. Even if the stats were different it is still atleast 30 on everything.
And thank you Jsprada for actually answering my question........

60% Kinetic is the maximum you will get if combining 5 samples with 75% Kinetic (Merek Harvester) so it is a clear cap.
As for my own efforts, I have gotten 60% Kinetic and Energy, Heat/Cold/Acid over 80%, Stun/Blast over 25% each and Electricity to 100% on a single creature in the CL 55 range (A gurreck with 11K+ across the board, but minimal damage). I was trying for a CL 40 multigenerational, so I sampled it down, but lost significant resists in the recombinations and then lost the entire string of efforts to a crit failure.
I've tried to attain such results again, but have never achieved anything so high, though a full resist profile (no vulnerabilities) is quite possible with some careful combinations if you are not insistant on capping Kinetic or Energy.
BTW, a practice I use in multigenerational work is not merely to look for DNA quality, but to look for the smallest difference between hardiness and fortitude in the DNA I use in the 1,2 and 5 slots when making templates, even if it is lower quality than HQ/VHQ. The lower the difference between those two, the lower the required Hardiness to achieve armor (500 fortitude) and the better the target for balancing action and mind (dex and intellect) to the health pool (hardiness).
My personal standards are no more than 1000 points difference between the highest and lowest pools where possible, especially in the 35-40 range, though in extremely high level pets that may be less reasonable, and a percentage (say 15%) spread is more applicable.
As for resists in general, I am expecting a future cold-based weapon when the space expansion comes out and includes Hoth, as well as possible other cold climates and technologies, so I try not to ignore cold resists in anything I am working towards PvP usable.
