IF A NON-CH WANTS AN UBER HAM PET....LET THEM INVEST THEIR SKILL POINTS IN CREATURE HANDLER!!!!

IF THEY WANT A TANK, GROUP WITH A CH THAT HAS TANKS OR A TKM/M DOC THAT IS A TANK ALSO.

I AM SO SICK OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE CRAFTING SYSTEM BEING BROKE AND INVALID PETS. IGNORANCE AS A BIO-ENGINEER IS NOT AN OPTION. YOU KNOW IN YOUR HEART AND MIND WHEN YOU PUT THAT DNA COMBINE TOGETHER THAT THERE IS A RISK OF MAKING AN INVALID PET. SUCK IT UP AND DRIVE ON TROOP. QUIT YOUR FREAKIN' WHINING!

You know what I want? A friggin' market base. If I can make a level 10, 4k HAM pet, why the hell shouldn't I be able to sell it to non-CHs? I need to make money, and selling BE pets to non-CHs who want a little company was where I got most of mine. CHs can and do tame pets as good as or better than a lot of the crap I've seen sold by BEs. This new system ruins what was once a nice potential market. I'm not a DE, but I think in comparing droids and pets, droids now have it better. I sure as hell can't craft because of my Level 10 Gurrcat. And the new droids supposedly have the potential to be pretty nice in combat. But thanks for telling me I'm not supposed to be upset. I don't know what I'd do without someone else to tell me how I should feel.

Thanks!

So, your saying that as a Bio-Engineer we should accept that our crafting system can make broken pets? That the Crafting code cannot make the right call on how powerful a creation is? That we have to rely on a second, just as buggy, set of code to double-check that the crafting system didn't mess up?

In that light, I would love to see Weaponsmiths, Armorsmiths, Tailors, Chefs, Architects andArtisans (and any other crafting profession) get a good chance to have any item they craft give them a message saying

"THE ITEM YOU JUST CREATED IS INVALID. SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE AND LOSS OF RESOURCES. IT IS ALL YOUR FAULT AND NOT THE BROKEN CRAFTING SYSTEM. HAVE A NICE DAY!"

Actually the message would read "The item you've created is invalid due to the inability of the crafting system do determine the correct parameters. Suck it up and quit whining."

You do realize that many CL10 animals with 2K HAM were declared invalid and many CL10 animals with 6K HAM or higher work just fine right? What you call whining I call asking for a working system. I mean I am paying to play a game. I'd like that game to work correctly. If that's whining then so be it. Suck that up why don't ya.

Why do I feed trolls... I dunno.

Here's how I look at it. Is a 14K HAM CL70 Kimogila with light armor and 60% kinetic resists valid? Because if it is thats 70k effective HAM vs kinetic. Divide effective HAM by CL and you get 1k HAM/CL so a CL10 should be able to have 10k effective kintetic HAM.

You call a 4k HAM CL10 "uber". Even with 50% kinetic resists thats only 8k kin HAM. I have a good number of CL 30's that have over 50k effective kinetic ham, the two I normally use to tank are both 55k, so thats 110k effective kinetic HAM between me and whatever is trying to harm me. If you're worried about non-CHs being able to tank durnis then yes, something needs to be done. Me, I'm not worried.

theres obviously something wrong when i create companion creatures (nothing special, CL3 100HAM...) and its called invalid O_o

no big deal but when something THAT simple doesnt work... youd better believe ill complain...

First of all, I agree that if someone wants a usefull pet, they should be a CH, atleast partly. Giving non-CHs good pets is unfair to CH and its not good for the game combat balance either.

And if you get so damn anoyed by doing pets that just ends up just above lvl 10 or is invalid for some other buggy reason, there is a very easy way to avoid it. DON'T do non-CH pets, focus on making good pets for CHs instead.

And dont give me any crap about money. Most BE sell their stuff to cheap considering what they could get if they focused on things, and also its way too easy to get more money than you will even use. Heck, just a couple of millions is more than you will ever use since there aint even any skill tapes for BEs anyway.

Some people freak out when they see my prices on my pets, but I dont care. I only do top of the line pets as good as they are possible to make, and I take alot of cash for them. If you want "normal" pets, go to anyone and buy it a bit cheaper than with me, but I always keep alot of pets on my vendors, and I constantly make new ones and test out different things aswell.

JFYI, when calculating my prices I take about 150k or sofor a MR DNA, and the most expensive pets I've had went for 800k (from my vendor). And I sell a couple 500k-800k pets every week, so sure, I might be expensive, but obviously not too expensive.

But if someone rather wants to do ten CL10 and sell for 20k each, be my guest, but I personally find that its anoying as hell to just do tedious things like that with no risk and even no time spent to look for the creatures/combos you need. And ofcourse, I dislike non-CH pets just for the reason that its a non-CH its for anyway.

Oh, and the comparison with the 14K HAM, CL70 Kimo was just silly. Come on, even you who wrote it must know that. Why not compare it to a lvl 26 pet I have with 11K HAM, Light Armour and 60% Kinetic, and try to tell everyone what those CL10s should be like....

Exactly, you can get CL 23's with 9-10k HAM and 60% kinetic light armor, thats 140-150k effective kinetic HAM between you and the baddy. The original poster was saying that 4k HAM pets were the death of CH, thats not even 3% the HAM a MCH can control. I'm still confused about how 4k non-ch pets make CH's useless

Just keep in mind, the "pet check" applies to all BE animals not just CL10. You can make an animal at any level that may or may not be valid.

You can't trust the creature level on the deed anymore. Customers will come to realize this pretty quick when they buy deeds off of vendors.

What I don't understand is why the creature level says CL10 when I craft itif its really a CL12. Why doesn't it sayCL12 when I make it? Sort of puts the whole "pet check" in question to begin with. If the crafting system worked we wouldn't need a pet check. Of course that's just me whining. Guess I'll have to suck it up.

Please ignore this one, he obviously has not been paying attention to any of our arguments.

I have not seen any post on this board that claims that we want uber cl10s.

Bendi,

So I guess before the "BE publish" all the CH's should have been turning down non-ch cowardly gurrek and rock beetle sales huh? And did they?...

Its not a matter of having 4k of HAM, it's a matter of ham + resistances + overall dps. A mob could be 45k of HAM but if they don't cause any damage they're still only CL1 because they simply cannot win against any mob in the game. Sure it'll take a decade for the squall to wear it way through 45k of HAM however in the end the squall will still win. Thus is the essense of the CL rating system.

OKAY.... so the issue still runs rampant on "valid" and "invalid" pets....the devs have already "fixed" it once and they say its still broken. how about (since we do pay their salary) we tell them as a community what the pets should be. dont wait for an answer from them anymore, just give them the guidelines to the system since WE cannot get them. i mean come on now....how long does this profession have to be continuously fixed? we got a real good system with the major overhaul that had a few bugs. WE created "uber" level 10 non-ch pets....WE knew it was wrong and asked for a nerf. WE ASKED FOR A NERF! they gave us one. seems as if it still didnt fix the problem. i dont do programming, so i dont know whats involved with running a check with a database to make sure if a petfalls into a certain category, but i bet they dont have ANYcategories to check against!!

well i am done typing...as well as making pets period.

The BE forum leader for the profession should make a list of acceptable stats for all level of craftable pets and submit it to them as to what we can/should make. make a council of elders to come up with this list.

i have a headache now....back to the cloth enhancements.
