Thread: Kimogilas!
They deserver thier own thread!
Ok, reading a lot of different posts I've come away with you can effect the ease of tamign a creature. Supposedly, higher quality DNA samples, the correct meat types, and the HAM of the mobs you take the DNA from effect ease of tamability. If you made 4 or 5 Kimogilas all off VHQ samples, off mobs with decent HAM(maybe eng'd Gurrecks) with all experiments going well, then you DNA sampled them until you got 5 VHQ samples off those Kimos(which have the highest HAM I've heard of), use a good carnivore or reptilian meat(whichever they yield, possible thier own meats) and the have sucessful experiments on that Kimo produced, could you get a Kimo possibly tamable by a master CH(or a master Wookie CH)?
I am king of run on sentances.
No Edit sucks.
Anyway, I've come to understand that quality and mob taken off makes no difference on trainability of a mob except on thepyscological area. so follow previous steps, buto nyl for 1 vhq sample for the psc slot on the final kimo.
The message on training kimogilas is not the normal plain bugged mobs, so it is possible maybe to be trained if you do it jsut right, which could make sence seeign the creature's sheer power.
So you have got people who have had sufficent CH skill to tame one?
My understanding is a Wookie Master CH can't tame our Kimo clones.
I have had a human master try.. no dice
I bought a Kimogila yesterday and had a Wookie Master Creature Handler try to tame it and he could not.
His creature level that he could tame is level 70, so I would have thought that this should work.
Kimogilas are not tameable and according to the Devs - never will be. I make Kimo's for DNA purposes only although 2 of the 5 I made last night failed on me - urgh!![]()
And someone posted that Bio'd creature DNA samples are bad? I get very high Q DNA samples from my Kimo's and from Faamba's, sorry I am at work and dont have the actual stats - but I know I was impressed. I think I got some 980 Fierceness and 970 something Power on a few of them which I then used to make a Razor Cat for a PA buddy and its H.A.M. was 7200 and Damage was 248 - 258. I thought that was pretty nice seeing as the highly coveted Greater Sludge Panthers Damage is 240 -250.
Anyway - just my 2 credits. ![]()
Well you can't sample from your clone Kimo anymore due to some level cap they put in.
I made up 10 Kimos and sampled Bull Rancors for an hour the other day thinking to try and make some good rancors and gurrecks. Couldn't sample the kimos. So now I put them on my vendor for sale as furniture. Going to keep a few in stock as decorations in case they remove the ability to make them (as Tal-N suggested).
If Kimos are leaving the clone line as many ppl now feel is going to happen since we cannot sample them now, I wish they would have just pulled them out completely during the patch (along with the broken clones too).
I'm bummed that I can't sample them now (easily), but am sitting on a small herd of them in my storage for when they become uncraftable and collector items.
