I have nothing against BE's, except those that troll the CH forum with nerfs and the condensending idiot that feels he must show the lack of intelligence of every poster. If this is role playing he can do it in game, if he has combat skills. Nothing like reading 8 messages from the pompus arse that have nothing to do with the topic. Talk about some one with an a self image problem. Some how, I doubt he does it in game. lol If he does, come meet my Master Gunfighter/MCH on Chillestra. I promise, no pets.

You guys also have a problem. Ch's are quitting in droves. I lost 4 die hard CH friends in the last week. Yes, I know it means nothing but two were beta players and the other two were from release. I am from release and am about ready to just quit. Do a find on your server and you will see what I am talking about. I suggest you pickup CH as a secondary profession or you are going to have problems. I have been helping BE's since release. I hoped one day they would get the attention they deserve. They did and I am happy. I have 7 BE pets, two I keep for sentimental reasons. The BE was so proud when she made them long before you were fixed. The others are good pets that were made by people I helped. I paid little or nothing for them. Actually, negotiated in reverse on some and snuck in sales on a vendor of a freinds for others.

That being said, I am not a BE basher. I am a MCH that will no longer tame BE pets or deeds. It is not out of spite. It is a useless time sink for me. I do not need the xp, get grief when I try to explain that even if I could I would not name your pet F---Yo---Mamma, end up giving CH 101 lessons, and am expected to do it for free. Most of us are at the point where we just use our other combat skill and do not even call our pets. They are that useless, even my great BE pets. Why bother with the healing time sink, the running problem, the poofing problem when you need them and all that camping and scouting stuff. I am also a Master Gunfighter and Novice medic. I now solo better without my pets. I can do the same missions without all the time sinks.

I would suggest you guys pick up at least Novice CH for the future because I suspect I am not alone. Read the CH forum. Alot of us veterans are just giving it up. TH's attitude, the emphasis on PVP versus content, and the simple fact that from day to day you can expect at least one stealth nerf a week and a major nerf with any patch or hotfix. We are sick of it. The solo players are taking up TKA or quitting. The group players are taking up TKA and other professions. Yes, there are eager Novices out there but it will not not be long until CH is thought of the same as Commando was before it was fixed or Squad Leader is now. Do not waste your time. The only difference is Commando was broken and this was done intentionally to the CH.

Well, I wish you guys all the luck in the world. I am trying to decide by this weekend to either quit or role play another class. What goes good with a Craggy Old Prospecting Hermit that talks to himself, helps every Novice he sees with money advice and resources, mutters to his pets, lives in acastle in the middle of nowhere ontop of a mountain on Dant? It will just not be the same without theDevil Guginaws flapping on patrol around the castle, FrakenKitty (pink Jax) and FrankenPuppy (Uber Huurton.) as companions as I clean up the spawns nearby and talk with visitors. I am afraid, my friends, I am not alone.

And so it begins...

The Bounty hunters were quiting in masses through constant neglegation by SOE, now the CH. Who will it be tomorrow?

Its a sad story, but I am happy some day the idiots responsible for that mess will be interrogated by someone higher then they are with the simple question: "Tell me, WHY are the people quitting? What are the reasons?"

After getting no answers he will read the player forums and THEN he will rip some arses apart... (UPS, maybe theys will DELETE the WHOLE forum to prevent that, claiming it was wether attemt nor a bug but A FEATURE!!!)

I re-read the entire thing and I'm still looking for your "reccomendation". It was quite a long read too!

Have we gone over to the CH boards to cry nerf? I think quite a few of us have actaully gone over there to defend things because we are also master creature handlers. If i am not wrong, a good number of nerf calls were by creature handlers.

There was never anything that we could do in the past to stop the onslaught of nerfage. Dispite the mass quitting etc. To this day, BH missions are still buggered, Carbineers only recently had the spelling of their class corrected, Squad Leaders are treated like the homeless kid that everyone pretends not to see. Have a look at their boards. They dont even try anymore because they know it wont do any good.

Sorry about your friends all leaving one by one. im sure many of us have shared the same seat with you at least once.

Useless post.

Do your research before you come to our boards and accuse us of flaming your (and mine) boards. I am a MBE/MCH and have been since launch, my best friends and best customers are CH. The only a55hats I have met or heard about have been from these boards and not imgame. So take your personal problems and get off the BE boards.

Thank you for your 'reccomendation'. I am having a blast btw.

Got some pets left on my vendor but making tissue and additives has been much more fun, and you CHs quitting gives me some breathing space.

I can now walk around in Coronet with my MBE tag again.

Glad I didn't read all of that, it would have wasted alot of time and for no good reason.

I am NBE/MCH and have never had so much fun in my (since release) career.

I cant imagine being MBE and not keeping the MCH skills that allow me to call my creations andtrain those that I sell to my clients.

As NCH, I spent most of my time taming rock beetles for non CH and selling them. Today I am making 4k HAM pets for non CH and selling them...for 10 times what I ever got for a rock beetle, hee.

You gotta do what makes you happy. If you are not happy with CH, or with SWG, then by all means make a change. Just don't expect to persuad everyone to agree with you.

Oh, and I will trade you a nice 4k HAM Gurreck for your CH rare pets, hun.

The recommendation was for BE's to take up creature handler because the long suffering creature handler folks are leaving in droves. Why are they leaving? I have no clue to be honest. Their critters were nerfed but hey, a BE can make a monster better than the pre nerfed animals. Creature handlers have to spend money for their "weapons?" No. They can still loot "weapons" out in the wild. If they want that uber critter they have to pay for it now. That's why they cry. A pistoleer can still use a pistol looted of a desert demon but do they? No. They buy their weapons from a crafter. Creature handlers are now a part of the dynamic economy and they don't like it.

I'm sure the creature handler forum is a rant fest. I'm just glad 60% of the people playing the game never read the forums.

it may not be the most clearly written post but the basic point is quite clear.

"people are abandoning creature handler as a combat class due tolongtime bugs and ineffectiveness at pvp making the class inferior to most of the regular combat classes"

pretty sad the shortsighted responses so far in the thread. now that bioengineers have the advantage in the pet market there is no regard for the class that is designed to use them? think things through for half a moment - the market gains were at the expense of the wild pet market. that in itself leaves the combat role as the major if not sole purposeof the class so any serious issue with the use of pets hamstrings it completely. half of the bioengineer skill trees are solely devoted to the making of pets so i would think thereshould be a little more concern about the intended users.

some of those responding should reaelly invest the time they are spending on this self-aggrandizing posturing learning a little more about the game

I dont think this post deserves some of the replies it recieved.

MrHawat was in my opinion being sincere. He is correct that people are leaving the game. As for Lack of CH's, perhaps. I havent really noticed, but then again I dont spend much time in towns. I can understand not wanting to help Non-CH's train thier newly bought BE pets after being burned so many times.

As for not using pets due to nerf???? you lost me there. I use my pets daily for support/tank. I did find issues where I couldnt be in melee with a target and my pet due simply to the fact that the target agdro's(and killed me) quickly. However, once I picked my rifle back up my pet did a fine job tanking, and I am talking about a Lantern Bird, not some uber AR1 critter.

I can't even tell what this post is about to be honest. One moment he'sranting about a BEtrolling on the CH boards and the next he's taking about how pets are useless and somehow this means we should all pick up CH and get into the pet training business, lol. The way I read it, it comes off much more as a rant than as a thoughtful recommendation.

Pets not useful? Fighting better without pets? oh man. My alt uses a CL 21 pet (CH dabbler) and he's at least 100%, if not 200% more combat effective because of it and he has only a very small fraction of the tree obviously. In fact, if you compare, skill point for skill point, how much more hunting effectivenes you get with CH vs the other similar "combat support"profession (ranger) the comparison is just a joke.
