Thread: My post-CU BE experiences and findings
Reedrof - welcome to posting on the BE forums ![]()
I've found that as well - well actually I've found it doesn't seem to depend on my own level but merely on the creatures. Your post gave me pause for thought but ... no ... I still think it is the creature levels and just an aside effect that it seems to correlate well with your combat level.
I am pretty sure others have noticed this as well. Arthur has got it down as one of the 'BIG' issues and apparently the devs are working on it.
But is SURE is frustrating ....
People have managed to work around the fortitude problem at the moment by using one or two high fortitudes with 3 or 4 low ones. You might want to try that and see what you get?
Yours,
Dorelli
PS. This is a bad time to become a new BE because the joy of having everything work right with pets is gone
hang in there - it WILL get better ![]()
Welcome to the forums and to the profession.
I am wondering which creatures / lvls have you pulled 800 Fort from? I get either 1000 or under 30.
I got 800'ish from bocatts on tatooine. They were level 18 I think.

I got 800ish fortitude from hambadaa's (spelling??) on Corellia I think, they were level 17 (which is the same as I am). It must just be a coincidence that the creatures above my level give 1000 fortitude while those under my level give 0 fortitude.
All of that said, I finished grinding MBE yesterday. Yeah me!
Reedrof.
actually, on sunrunner, i don't get any BE crafting xp for either templates or pets. (haven't tried making the med crap - cuz who cares... i've never even seen those resources).
Currently, I'm stuck at 3266 BE crafting xp and my skills template is 1/0/2/1. Would love to move up, especialy since I've crafter like 5 or 6 LVL 100+ pets since CU!
You SHOULD be seeing a requisite for medical crafting xp for trainining BE now for all branches and also all BE items including pets and tissues should be giving medical crafting xp. If you are NOT seeing this, then sunrunner is bugged and you need to submit a /bug and probably a ticket to CSR as well.
(TC-EP3 was bugged like this for the first few days of testing - it SHOULD be fixed in live - so double and triple check that before you submit your /bug).

Indeed, it seems as though your CL seems to have an effect on the stats of the DNA you get. I am a stunning CL 19 and creatures quake in their skins as I pass, but, sampling level 17 or 18 yeild me Fort scores of around 800-880. Sampling a CL 20 got me a 1000 Fort, sampling a CL50 got me fort 1000, dep 1000, clev 1000. Sampling level 14 and below yield me fort 10-30.
Doing this sampling has brought up anopther question. The level 50 I sampled gave me some really whacked out resists of 3391 in 4 different categories. The level 20 I sampled also had 3 categories with resist of 335. However, CL lower than I are like the old DNA samples and give "normal" stats for resists. The question is what, if anything do ridiculous number like this mean? I assume, like everything else that the resists are broken.
Oh, and one more thing. Any pet I have made gives a to hit of 0. Has anyone actually used a post CU pet and seen if it hits and to what probable percentage does it hit?

so it would seem that BE crafting has been chnged to medical crafting, which i am receiving.
to hit scores of zero are meaningless.... all of my pets with this score are still attacking. I have not tried to calculate true scores, but they do not seem drastically different from the pets with scores of 40-60.

While for all pratical purposes these seem quite useless, I get great xp for crafting them (+/-1.5k), or at the very least, the templates. This combined with double XP week makes for some nice grinding.
