Oh and forgot to add... it's not the creature lvl that is producing the 1K fortitude and dependability DNA. I've done it with lvl 20ish and lvl 40ish characters. It's the creature. Tortans gave me DNA that banged the extra xp almost all the time. The higher lvl creature DID make the stats a bit higher, but I was getting almost 0 fortitude from nudfah's but 1K from tortans at the same cl.

My main problem post CU is the inability to sample high level creatures. My template beeing MBE, Mtailor, scout, medic I have a CL of 17, meaning everything at lvl 30+ gets aggroed and incapps me in one hit, besides when I get back up they hit me again, and then one more time sending me back to the cloning facility. Anyone else had that problem? If it is not just me then they should do something about that I think.

Do you have Exploration IV? Use Masckscent and along with that BE Mask Scent Clothing and Jawa Beer.

Also make sure you don't have any icons Ctrl-Clicked on your toolbar. I wouldn't advise sampling any creatures that are natural aggro as they will 1 hit you...nothing you can do about this I'm afraid.

I think the opposite, that post-CU DNA sampling is easier... but this may depend on level. I'm level 29, and while I seem to have standard trouble sampling from lvl 5 spineflaps and the like, I can nail lvl 29-33 tortons almost every time. Though I was unable to sample from my LVL 151 Dewback that I made...

cl 57 mdoc/3343 be here, and while i've been able to sample nearly anything lvl 70 or below that i was able to sneak up on (including one kimogila hatchling surrounded by 8 lvl 150ish kimos), i could not for the life of me get a single sampling off a lvl 65 gurk mission i took just for sampling purposes. (and yes i had plenty of room in inventory, having cleared it out right before taking mission)

spent at least 15 minutes sampling and resampling, never succeeded, got bored and went to finish off the pets i was hired for...was hoping to toss one or two higher gurk dna in to beef the critters up some

Hey guys! Don't go for level - go forheath. The DNA samples are ALL the same (pretty much) regardless of level. They differ by the hardiness (which shows in the health) and the power (ok ... i haven't really worked out when you get higher power if at all yet).

So, don't kill yourselves over level. Look for high health and that might be in your own level or ... not.

er ... and the resists are different. sorry i forgot that part. sometimes the higher level missions give critters with higher health - sometimes they don't. prolly everyone knew that . sorry. dor

wasn't really killing myself over it. just figured that while i had a wee bit of time, i'd get some gurk dna, since my city is based on lok...and, lvl 65 missions are all i was allowed to take, even solo. and just hate driving around randomly to find gurks...although, in retrospect, that seems to be what i should have done
