why why why why why can't any profession that needs to use a factory also have the ability to survey for the resources they need to make the items their factories produce? I just spent over 15k in redeed fees trying to find a suitable place to drop 4 wind generators. 15k, and i still haven't found a suitable spot (nothing over 8% concentration of resource so far) to lay wind generators down.

WHY WHY WHY can't i have the skill to use a freaking tool to do the surveying for me? i can make creatures from meat and flowers in under a minute, why can't i push a button on a pre-made tool?! far out, who thought this up!?

"well just have a novice artisan help you, duh, dork!" - yeah well i tried that and it seems that not only are bio-engineers the inside joke of SOE, they're the laughing stock of the player population also: "haha you can't use a survey tool! well if you can't use one i won't help you" was the only response i got from anyone, the rest of the time i was ignored.

yay for community games yay for online games yay for well thought out professions.

I group with a Probot droid and then have it attack the mark. This has worked in all but one situation.

Work your way up to LLC 4, you'll get the 'Avenger' title.

Out of my last 5-7 Bh missions..one..yes..ONE has been sucessful. Either the target has been on lok, been stuck in a wall or simply just not showed up.

In the stuck/no show situiation I tried everything. Camping. targeting, killing everything within 200m radius.

At 45mins a mission this is ridiculous! Not to mention all the credits I'm wasting....grrrrrrrrr

I'm sick of the novice BH title

I'm only half way through investigation II.

Not that you should have to resort to this but there is a way around marks stuck in a wall. Get another player to duel you, have them stand in front of the wall where the mark is and use an Area attack on the player. This should hit the mark as well and agro them out of the wall. You will then be able to attack and kill the mark. It sucks to have to do it this way but its better than starting a whole new mission.

It really torks me off that we can get changed to the point of running players out of the profession, Yet when a proposed change to merchants is met with " Oh no it will ruin us" the devs back the crap down.
I'm not saying that I'm for the proposed changes to merchants. What I'm saying is it's rather one sided when one profession can get changes softened to the point of AHHH thats so much better and the combat, not only we Ch but all combat professions are told to stop whinning and deal with it.

For this I award the 'GLASS BELLY BUTTON AWARD' to whomever deserves it most from SOE. This award will allow user to see when head is in a dark place in which you would not usually find ones head .

It's not that simple. If you going to be made about something be mad at the delay of the CB, cause that's what is holding us back. At the time of the great CH Nerf people where exploting the prof, devs made changes with the full intention to revamp everyone right along with us. As productiobn scheds go it didn't happen and won't fora while. All in all the changes to our prof would have been fine if they made the other changes they where going to make.

That being said they are trying to patch and improve what they can until CB but I think you'll find that the Devs will listen to us in the same way they did for the merchants when it's out turn to be heard i.e CB. I know it sounds like a carrot on a stick but thems the facts.

I agree with your point Sad. Well stated and perfectly correct.

The only thing I have to offer are that SOE watches economic trends. They support the idea that player driven economies act much like real world economies. With that in mind reduction of vendors would create economic chaos in the game. I am sure some person in marketting changed this because it would mess up some economic theory thesis they were writing.

/agree with pluto

Also (eternal optimisum here) Maybe the devs learned their lesson in the great CH nerf that maybe players do know what they are talking about when they say that "these changes will ruin us"

either that or they purposely propose assinine changes so they can then put their real plan up and make it seem like they listen to the community.

i can't get caught up because of the stupid hurricanes. everytime i think i'm caught up hunting for resources and startgetting my factory going and beging restocking my vendors, another hurricane hits and when i come back, vendors are almost empty and i have to start all over again. blarg! i just need to buy multiple factories and when i come back run everything at once. oh well. at least we're all safe in real life.

Ok,

I have 2 chars as my signature states, a DE/Art/Sw and a Ranger/BE. Since the CU, and now this latest patch, both Ranger and DE have been nerfed.

I played these 2 clases as I like the roleplay aspects of them. As a DE i stock a few droids, mainly BH now but a few astro's and flight comps, but spent alot more time setting up a showroom to answer questions for non-de's. (Any DE on Europe-Chimaera pop along to Aurora on Corellia, along the coast, and have a look. Would be interested in fellow DE's thoughts)

Now I find myself loading up the game for either char and thinking 'Why bother?' I have more fun in space but have made master pilot now so that tends to be a case of taking Nova up for newbies to get xp.

My ranger cant scout properly as he gets his a**e kicked. My DE cant make 3/4 of the droids listed in his schematic list and gets requests for 'droids to shout rude things at people as they go past'

As an act of desperation I dropped some merchant skills and became an entertainer for our guild and charged 1 cred covercharge to see if anyone was listening in our cantina ... nothing after the 1st day.

And now this patch. I hoped that I could make probots again. I ran factory runs of combat modules with 99 rating. I placed 3 BER 13 harvesters on the tolium gas spawn on coro at the mo to make detonation droids and what happens? SoE mess up the patch for me.

Why should I pay SoE £20 a month (yes, I bought the game twice along with JTL and RotW on 1 account) so that SoE can continuely nerf the profs I luv?

I just have to ask ... how do fellow DE's put up with this? I only make money by selling torpedoes and launchers on the bazaar at 12k each but thats getting boring now.

I apologise for the rant, but most other players either play combatants or combatant/crafters who can actually experiment to make a difference to their creations.

I'm off to lay down in a dark room somewhere .....

Regards
