Ok,

I have 2 chars as my signature states, a DE/Art/Sw and a Ranger/BE. Since the CU, and now this latest patch, both Ranger and DE have been nerfed.

I played these 2 clases as I like the roleplay aspects of them. As a DE i stock a few droids, mainly BH now but a few astro's and flight comps, but spent alot more time setting up a showroom to answer questions for non-de's. (Any DE on Europe-Chimaera pop along to Aurora on Corellia, along the coast, and have a look. Would be interested in fellow DE's thoughts)

Now I find myself loading up the game for either char and thinking 'Why bother?' I have more fun in space but have made master pilot now so that tends to be a case of taking Nova up for newbies to get xp.

My ranger cant scout properly as he gets his a**e kicked. My DE cant make 3/4 of the droids listed in his schematic list and gets requests for 'droids to shout rude things at people as they go past'

As an act of desperation I dropped some merchant skills and became an entertainer for our guild and charged 1 cred covercharge to see if anyone was listening in our cantina ... nothing after the 1st day.

And now this patch. I hoped that I could make probots again. I ran factory runs of combat modules with 99 rating. I placed 3 BER 13 harvesters on the tolium gas spawn on coro at the mo to make detonation droids and what happens? SoE mess up the patch for me.

Why should I pay SoE £20 a month (yes, I bought the game twice along with JTL and RotW on 1 account) so that SoE can continuely nerf the profs I luv?

I just have to ask ... how do fellow DE's put up with this? I only make money by selling torpedoes and launchers on the bazaar at 12k each but thats getting boring now.

I apologise for the rant, but most other players either play combatants or combatant/crafters who can actually experiment to make a difference to their creations.

I'm off to lay down in a dark room somewhere .....

I can only say: QFE as

- MRanger/MCH

- MArtisan/MDE/MMerchant

- MEntertainer/MDancer/MMusician/MID ....

I'd like to add: SOE sees us customers like morons who will gladly pay to test their worthless crap...

Hi all,

just needed to express this though. i wish that SOE in al its glory would hire some contractorcode writers, andput all of their coders for a period of time on to one issue, making this f'ing game work right.

Im so tired of every 2 weeks some change to the game and to the templates that all of us have chosen that make you think twice about the temp that you have spent MONTHS AND MONTHS grinding to get. i want to play content, fun storylines and roleplay my jedi and alts in the star wars universe, free of concerns about what change is coming next. i truly don't understand what is the problem with SOE. Its been years since this game came out. i tried guild wars in beta and it had fewer bugs and imbalances than this game does now.

Almost all ofthe complaints that i read on these forums, not just the jedi forums, have to do with bugs and balance issues. As far as balance is concerned i say have done with it, make a single balance pass, if it takes 3 months to write the code then so be it, if it takes another 3 months to test it thoroughlythen so be it( as long as the player base gets to test it too) the constant complaint and stuff that get expressed on these forums should for the most part be ignored by the devs as they will never be able to please everyone in the game after the balance pass though, because we are the paycheck of these ppl.

i want content publishes, new quests new places to explore. sinceI have been playing this game thier has been 2 content patches,JTLS wich i consider a different game really, though nice, and ROTW wich is also nice if a bit buggy. I want more, i dont need bug patches, if the devs were any good at what they do the bugs would be minimal, when you find them fix em quick and have done with it. patch after patch after patch is one bug after another one balance pass after another i mean really folks ive been playing this game for 2 years with all of the bug fixes and balance passes we have all been through shouldnt we be about done with them by now? it seems like there are as many bugs now as when i started playing this game if not more. I understand that the code writers have to have something to do, well i say WRITE SOME F'ING CONTENT PLS.

let us grind our proffesions out, learn how to play them and enjoy content, pvp etc, i feel like im in constant beta testing here and have felt so since i started this game.

sorry for ranting at you all but i couldnt help myself, thanks for your time

Contract workers would only mess it up, since they would not have a feel with the game, its complexity, sheer size and its problems.

What this game need is people who knows many (all) parts of the game, and how it interacts together. I could program a part of the game, only to find out that I would have to rewrite the whole code, because it would not fit into SWG, even if the code is 100% working. A game of this size and complexity is best worked on by people who knows it. Not by hired in contractors, who in worst case would mess up more then fixing it!

Beside contractors is usually more expensive over time then in-house people! And in-house programmers can offer to SWG what it needs way better then a rent-a-programmer.

SOE got some VERY GOOD People! We might not always agree with them, but for SWG as a whole, I think you cant get better people!

is that so, well its a nice sentiment but pls show me the evidence that they have good ppl and explain how it is that the game has been broken for so long if they are soo VERY GOOD, my idea for the contractors is only to speed up the work obviously they need to do something because little by little the player base seems to be whittling away.

The above statement by Niccolado is total bull sh*t.

What other MMORPG is on the market where it's dev's don't communicate with it's players?

For example, the dev's took battle fatigue out of the game. Ok... then what good are entertainers for? The dev's didn't even explain why they did what they did! Right now we don't really know why the SWG dev's are reducing group xp. We can speculate on why, but without hearing it directly from the dev's were only second guessing! The latter examples are only some of the many examples where the SWG dev's do not communicate with it's players.

Your more likely to see santa claus post on the forums then the devs!

As for the SOE reps. Holocron and Thunderhart used to work ob trying to get answers. With Tigg's, all we get are pre-written statements.

I've been playing this game since it launched and it's been 30%-40% broken. Now that we have a CU, were still as broken, except we now have a new combat system. There are things that have been broken and not fixed by the SWG dev's since this game was launched.

Please tell me what other MMORPG is there where it's as badly broken as SWG? I've been playing MMORPGs for 7 years now and I have never seen a game like SWG where not only do the dev's rarely communicate with it's players. Not to mention that this game has been broken for so long.

Maybe it's not the devs fault. Maybe it's SOE's fault?

If this game wasn't based on the star wars universe, then it would of tanked a long time ago.

No matter how much you surger coat the SWG, you still got sh*t!

I am certainly glad they pulled out all of the stops to fix the DOT bug...I wish they would show the same due diligence with the saber speed bug....

Yeah gotta admit that crossed my mind too :/

Wondering if the devs realise how many jedi have multiple accounts and what would happen if we left.

I personally have 4 (Maybe thats just cos of lack of content)

theres the problem, too much saying, not enough doing. If all the jedi cancelled all their accounts, then maybe something might be done. Personally, mine expires in a couple days, and im debating whether or not i should renew it.

Yeah u have a point but there again, I feel that wouldnt accomplish anything.

Thousands upon thousands left cos of the CU and that didnt do anything it still rolled on and we are stuck with it.

All leaving seems to do is turn major cities into ghost towns with the occasional ent and afk shouter
