Thread: WE HATE THE NEW CHANGES!! TAKEN FROM THE CH FORUMS
--Taken from the creature handler forums--
This post should make all the BioEng's feel ashamed and feel sorry for anyone who spent the time to reach Master CH. Reason? People arerunning arounddoing missiosn with 60%to all resist 2k HAM ***LEVEL1***Creatures.

There is room in the market for custom pets and good wild pets. We didn't have to see wild pets nerfed all to hell *and* BE pets improved beyond all reason to give the BEs a boost. If they could have even made all of their clones *as good* as the wild versions they would have still had a market the same as people buy wild pets tamed by other players.
A BE should be making fantastic niche pets. They should *not* be flat-out making the best pets anywhere. I have to mention again, I made a sighting today of a woolamander somebody had that came from a BE. It had 60% resists, 2k of HAM and it was *level one*. Why does that disturb me? I was attempting to hunt on Endor and doing blurrg missions with a partner. We make a very good team, but now my level 50 rancor doesn't have enough resists + armor to do 2 missions back to back without using 30 stim charges at 640+ per pop. My lvl 35 graul maulers can't do a single blurrg mission without having both of their asses handed to them.
What does that mean? It means that somebody is out there with a level one pet that can rake in the CH XP (being only level one of course), has better resists than any wild pet I've encountered post-patch and can be used by a non-CH if they so desired it. Given that it only has 2k of HAM so it's not competing with the high HAM tanks, but it's better than *anything* for its level. There isn't a wild pet out there that is even half as good as it is for its level and this trend apparently continues throughout the available clones.
Since the BE can make pets better than anything that was ever available before, and all of the wild spawns have gotten relatively easier, it's obvious that CH was *not* overpowered before. It was just too much fun. Taming and training your own pets in the wild was obviously the reason for us to be mutilated the way we were, why else would they have made it pointless to do so but left us with full fighting power intact, or even improved relative to our pets previous?
Please keep in mind that this is the opinion of only a crossection of CH's.
I am a Master CH and have been since 3 weeks after launch. I am very excited about BE's and their new cloning line.
More power to all of the BE's out there and keep those great clones comming.
The guy that posted this is just a retard, I'm a master CH myself and I like the changes a lot. The only downside is that I have to get all new pets, probably mostly from a BE. The BE pets are not CL1 for long by they way, they may start out as it, but they will be beyond the reach of a non ch in two days.
And there are still good wild pets, some may be even better then BE ones, they are just rare now...
Oh dear, my mauler got nerfed and I'm too stupid to find another good pet.....CH's should stop whining, get over it, and get new pets.
I'm going to go out and try to make a level ONE creature. I'm not sure it can be done at all, much less one with 2k HAM and 60% resists. The way I understand the system, and I've made about 30 criters, is that higher HAM and resists will by definition increase the CL. How would you make the critter he describes? Use high level DNA in physique and prowess, lowest possible dna elsewhere. Then have a failure during experimentation for everything but physique. Maybe by using the worst available crafting tool and station? But no BE on this forum has bee able to produce anything even CLOSE to what he's describing. I seriously doubt this guy really saw what he is describing. Unless its bugged. Either he provides a screenshot, or he's a whining troll.
This guy is an idiot. He finds one thing that is factual and makes up the other 99 percent. His life is probably as messed up. We shouldn't answer this guy... why? hes an idiot. Only idiots talk to idiots and passionate people that have not yet leaned that an idiot is an idiot. ![]()
Wait a sec! It was a baby? That changes things a lot. Might be possible then. He's right if that's true. Can CH's just use disposable babies?
Wish I could make something with 60% resists. Anyone else get close to that? I was pretty pleased with 40% kinetic and vulnerable to all else.
First off, that baby will be unuseable pretty quickly.
Secondly, it will be non-transferable to anyone not able to control the adult, as well as untameable by anyone able to not control the adult.
As far as I can tell, I can't go out and tame a lvl 1 picket baby with novice CH, so there is no way someone can tame a BE baby without being able to control the adult anyways.

Ok ok
I have gone out and done the CH thing ( I am a master ch also ) So far I see ZERO pets in the wild that have anything near the same stats as the level 10 and under pets that the NON-CH people are boasting. My Rancors are worthless. My Maulers are worthless. Yes I have gone out and spent 2 days for 5 hours grueling away at the lairs trying to find *the ch way* for these new and useful babys... NOTHING... I refuse to take the easy way out and pay my 100k for a BioEng freakin monstrosity. Parden my harshness and my utter distastefulness andlack of compassionfor the whole situation. I am trying to find the logic. We Ch's are scrambling around for the perfect pet.scpecially as a master Ch i find it horrible that we cannot get anything near the perfection that can be reached with whatthese BioEng can makeand used by NON CH'Sand can be in my opinionfar far better than what we can findout in the wilds the old fashioned way. Where is the balance? Sorry but, yes, I believe this is unbalanced and needs to be delt with some way. =(
Of course the thing was level 1. It was just a baby. Just because it's BE made doesn't mean it's full grown when tamed. The publish hadn't been out long enough at the time of that post for that woolmander to have been full grown. Growth rate being 10% every 12 hours, provided you log on that day. I used to be a MCH myself, before the holocrons made me drop that to have the skill points available.
Plus a Woolmander can't be made lower than CL 10 and any creature, wild or BE made that's CL 10 to 19 will show as lvl 1 when newborn. 20-29 shows as lvl 2, 30-39 as lvl 3, etc, etc.
Appearently the kid that posted that is a fool. He/She obviously didn't also take into consideration that a CH would have had to tame/train the woolmander. So if anything these changes help CH's as well as BE'ssinc eit'll take both for someone to have a good critter at their side.

I've hear of wild frenzied being found an tamed. I must admit I have not seen any myself, but that is not surprising since they kick ass, and the better they are, the RARER the will be to find. The easy way is still to talk to a BE and get a pet from him. Then just go hunt and get lucky..... Most Master CH will find good wild pets in the end, it's just harder now that you can't walk up to a lair and snag a baby right away. We just have to work at it now.

Maybe the Devs are taking the same approach as they do with weapons?
Anything found in the wild (aka looted) is inferior to player-made. Mind you, this is coming from a pistoleer who can't just run around for a few days killing stuff until heloots his uber weapon. I have to go to a weaponsmith to get the best in the game. I guess CHs will have to go to BEs to get the best in the game now also.
