Thread: OK what gives?
Sampling failure depends on the creature level for the most part. Although we can sample up to CL75 our percentage rate for success is small and I have not heard that this has changed since CU came out.
As for failing on lower level creatures, the odds are better by far but certainly not guaranteed.
To help keep your deaths down you can use mask scent or use the camo kits (however they will not work in conjunction with mask scent), you can drink Jawa Beer, you can group with a level 80 player. Some people have had success scoping out a lair, making a wp for it, driving away and then rushing in on their swoop before the creatures have loaded.
Death is a way of life for the BE who samples.
I thought I must have been doing something wrong but it looks like I haven't, it's reallyIS just the way it is. That's bad news about cam kits not working with mask scent so which is better, my mask scent at +100 or a rangers camo kit?
I think it's wrong to have the creature aggro on you so often when you fail a sample, since the failure rate on high level creatures is so high. Withelete level creatures it means instant death for a lot of us, just seems unfair to me, it also means I will be charging premium price for the high end pets.![]()
And if you can't find one willing to do so, you're out of luck.
I've been playing my wife's CL17 MBE and when I'm not grouped with a CL80, I'd say that 3 samples per incap is probably the average when sampling high level aggresive creatures.
I don't consider this acceptable but from what I understand, this is working as intended if you can believe it.
