Doc skills are certianly useful and CM can be complimetary to them. There have been a few discussion on these forums for folks doing some combination of both that can give you some better ideas of which skills in Doc are particularly useful for field work (such as Revive Pack creation and usage).

As for apprentice popints... well you got the idea. Also anytime you are around town and you hear someone shouting for a skill you already have, jump right up and let them know that you wold be happy to train them in that skill. Getting with combat groups can also be useful for this, as sometimes you can find someone in the group wanting to learn a skill you already have and some missions might be an opportunity to focus on that particular skill since they know they have a trainer handy right there. As for the med center, if you do not have very mandy medics at yoru med center that you can offer to train on a semi-regular basis, maybe try going to one of the larger cities, like Theed onNaboo, Coronet on Corellia or Mos Eisley on Tatooine, for example. That way there would be a large base of medics who could use some training at any time. If there is a Doc or CM present there who may have been doing some of the training, be sure to ask them if you could help train in their stead, as most Doc probably don't need too many more Apprentice points anyway. I've been topped for week, but with a Doc title I naturally get lots of training requiests because the other medics know I have the skills to train them (and I always make the offer all the time, anyway, when I am in the Med Center so they know me by name as well.) But if there is another medic around,I always is if they would like to do the honors instead because I know that could probably use the APs that don't mean anything to me anymore.

Hope that helps some.

So I am only short FA 4 from climbing the medic tree and am looking forward to finally reaching my goal of master medic.

I have 2 questions for those that have blazed the trail before me. First, I want combat medic but am wondering if I should acquire any doctor skills? Do the Dr skills cross over and help with Combat Medic in any way?

Second, what advice for getting apprentice points? I have about 330 and need 620....am i correct that those points can be any teaching, not just medic? Also, what is the best way to get apprentice points? Sitting in the med center is not my idea of a good time and running about shouting I can train this or that isn't either. I suppose one of them is the only way...how did you guys get those points? Thanks.

My pre-nerf probot is starting to get Health and Mind wounds. Since I cant just put it in my datapad to heal those anymore how do I heal them? At the rate my probot is getting wounds it will be a trash can within a month from now. I tryed getting batteries...Didnt work. I tried a droid repair tool those dont work. I also got it to full heal and then put in my datapad that didnt work. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Your droid needs to be repaired by ANOTHER droid which has a repair module in it. That's how wounds are healed. Contact your local friendly DE - perhaps he has one in his inventory and will be willing to heal your bot.

I will expand on Elenora's answer.

1. This depends on what type of healing you are taling about. There are 2 types of healing........ wound healing and dmg healing. DMG healing (white parts of the bars) can be done anywhere and WOUND healing (the black parts of bars) has to be done inside a camp, medical center, or near a droid that has a heling mechanizm built into it.

2. absolutely- no real need to expand on Elen's post

3. Anything that is Red (health related) or Green (action related) can be healed by Doctor's, Combat Medics, and Medics. Mind is a whole other pool. Currently there is no way to heal mind dmg, however, entertainers can heal mind wounds and battle fatigue. Mind healing is limited to camps or cantinas, not sure if medical droids can allow them to heal. Battle fatigue can only be healed in a cantina.

I agree with Elen here.......... the types of questions you are asking do belong in the medic forum. I fear I am sounding rude and that is not how I want to come across, however, the Combat Medic and Doctor professions are elite professions of the medic profession, and questions about what we can heal, what we can't, and the usage of stims could probably be better answered in the Medic Forums.

Niether Elen or I are flaming you, I just want to get that point across, we are mainly letting you know where the questions you are asking could be best answered as this forum assumes you have already gone through the "training program" that the medic professiongives you before you come to these forums.

But to answer your question....... stimsrequire Mind pool use.
