Thread: What would you do?

2 different things happened last night as I was dancing:

First, we had a musician who kept spewing comments for tips. First, I am of the mind that the more you demand tips, the more resistance you will find to get them. Second, I am *not* a "regen 'ho" as it was put.

I let it slide last night, but I won't tonight. I'm just afraid it will be taken in the wrong way, and then the ol' rep goes down if you start slinging mud. I don't want to have to move, but it got embarrassing. WWYD?

Second, a Novice Tailor came in and started designing outfits for the band. I declined, politely I thought, as I like my looks the way they are, and Ms. Tailor seemed offended that I wouldn't take her clothes. I feel bad about it, as I don't want people mad at me, but I don't think I'm required to accept every offer. Should I play dumb and take stuff anyway?

Whatever you do, keep in mind that there is only one cantina per city, so you don't want to create a hostile environment for yourself that you can't escape without leaving your "home" city, if that matters to you. Try to be as diplomatic as possible especially when dealing with other entertainers, and ignore whatever customers you can. Someone kept jumping up and down on me yesterday, and I just said "This isn't that type of bar, Joe." and danced on the other side for a while. He apologized and stopped.

There is someone that groups with us a lot who is pretty cool, except for her tip macro. It went something like this:

"DON'T FORGET TO TIP THE ENTERTAINERS TONIGHT FOLKS!!!"

I simply suggested in /gc that she lay off the caps a bit and try using something along the lines of the macro that I have instead of being so blunt about it. I guess since she learns all of her skills from me she had no choice but to listen *snicker*, but she got the drift.

Some people just don't know any better, so before you assume they are being rude I would try some subtle approaches.

We hear all this babbling about on what someone would do if they unlocked FS slot. What would they say, if anything on the forums, would they provide proof, would they be open about it etc. etc. But I've been wondering.... what would you do Role-Playing wise? Would u start a PA for people who would eventually become FS? Would you train out in the middle of nowhere on a deserted Planet? Would you keep your title on or off. Would you role-play keeping yourself covered? Personally I would train to the point where I was sure I could defend myself from any attackers, but before that I would tell a close friends, knowing I could trust them to tell nobody, train my way to that point of where I know I can defend myself from PC attacks, and keep on low until then. After that I would consider starting a PA for FS only. It of course wouldn't have many members, and would kind of be useless until we start seeing more FS people pop up. But thats what I would do..... how about you?

Ok, Im not sure if anyone asked this before but lets say you've just reached Jedi Master, suddenly you come in contact with an extremely large group of bounty hunters or whatever. Now even as a Jedi Master you know that you have no chance of defeating them. Do you run and try to get away? Or will you stay and fight honorably until your death? I think even though all my hard work was wasted I'd still stay and fight. Theres nothing like going out in a blaze of glory right?

I have a question for all those trying to become a jedi. Im curious what would you do if you became one? What kind of crazy adventures would you have?

i know me personally because i like to mess around (and probably die doing it), i would go into a small town and force push everyoneI see (i hope it doesnt hurt). I think it would be really funny! May get annoying if you were the pushy not the pusher. But for me it would be hours of fun even if i died constant pictures. GRAND TIME!!

Were all nice people once you get past the death threats.

Get extremely bored. What's the endgame of a jedi? besides dying and trying again. I'm bored with my part as it is. When I unlock the FSS, it's just going to breath a bit of life in the game, but should I ever die as a master jedi, I'm going to delete that dang blue glowie. Talk about BORING.

I've come to a standing point in my template (no not the one in my sig, im considering changing it).

Do I keep my current template

Tkasi 4/0/0/4 (meditate and +30 ranged defense)

SqdLdr 0/4/0/4 (volley, steady aim and the group ranged defenses)

Commando 0/4/0/0 (rocket launchers)

Master Marskman and Unarmed4

Rifleman 1/0/0/0 (leftoever.. nice for mind shot2)

This gives me an insane +72 ranged defense mod, high damage at short and long range (not so good at medium), meditate will let me bring my mind up and heal wounds (no dependance on medics and as SL faster mind is rather nice).

Or do I go for a more pvp-heavy template... AT-ST hunting (my true addiction)..

Commando 0/4/0/0

Master Marksman,Master Scout, Unarmed4

Ranger 0/0/4/0 (tracking.. i should be able to track down imp AT-ST's)

Smuggler 0/4/0/0 (slicing 4.. i plan to set up a factory and buy the templates so i can produce the heavy weapons and slice them myself)

and Novice Rifleman (leftover points.. not yet decided if to take rifleman for the T21 or Bounty Hunter for the LLC.. so far i lean towards rifle because i already have mind shot1 and headshot1 that i can use with rifle).

...but id have to give up my SL skills and have average ranged defenses.

What would you do?

Just a note, you will not be able to track down at-sts I tested this as recently as last night, in fact.

If it is pvp and you know the player who owns the at-st, tracking might be useful to you.

I saw you posted in the ranger forums. Let's see if any others have had a different experience, but I recall the fix being in the patch notes fairly recently.

yeah i did just to see if its universal.

What do you mean by 'fix'? You mean that rangers should be able to track other's pets? or that they shouldn't?
