Thread: Non CH pet owners changing that stats on their pets

Seriously, what's the deal with that? I got a few off the bazaar when I was working novice, and the stats went from say, 3K HAM 100 dmg to 1100 HAM for a lvl 11, yet my lvl 11 5K HAM 130 dmg works fine. I found it odd, and just passed it off as stock made pre-nerf. The 6K creditsdon't bother me, and I won't actually complain, but I did send the BE a note warning them about the possible dangers.
Umm you asked the million dollar question why do you think BE's were a little upset with both our FF and TH's 19 questions. It's a crap shoot with new low level recipes and if you don't have some CH skills you don't know till someone buys it if it's valid or not.

Miffy, I wouldn't worry about it too much, since you refunded their money. As for what actually happened, well I'm not sure what happened ![]()
Anyways, if they persist in sending you hate emails, just file a harassment /report.

Excuse my ignorance here, so is this supposed to happen?! I'm assuming its to stop non ch people from buying overly powerful lvl 10 pets. If it is then that sucks! I thought it was a bug. I dropped all my ch skills yesterday in favor of Bio Engineer, because CH was a waist of time in my opinion after all the changes that had been done to it. Now I wish I hadn't. I'm all for the crackdown on powerful cl 10 pets, but thats rediculous. The first one had just a little over 1,5k hams and did 75 ish damage I don't see that being overly powerful? The majoirty of the people that are buying my cl 10 pets are new to the game and obviously have no idea on the issue that is at hand. I'm not new at all and I didn't even know, everytime this happens I'm going to have to refund people like I had to yesterday, Please correct if I'm wrong before I start a massive rant about it![]()
The pet checks are SUPPOSED to stop over powered no ch pets but they don't and the only why to really know if your pet is going to get called legal or not is try to tame one then use the same recipe for the others NORMALLY pets using the same recipe are all invalid or all safe.
Hi Miffy,
Same thing happened to me. I gave a guy a nice lvl 10 Cu Pa it only had just under 2K ham and he was asked to change level or stats, he chose stats and it was ruined! I was mortified. I made him another, strangely enough with higher stats and it worked fine!! I would just rather refund people or supply a replacement.
Incidentally, I'm a Master CH and almost Master BE. I love CH too much to drop it and I love making my own pets.

A few questions. I'm new to both the worlds of BE and CH and I have a few questions. The first, I don't really expect anyone to answer, since nobody on the CH board even tried, but here goes. Non-CH are supposed to be able to control CL 10 pets, right? Before I got NCH, I couldn't control a level 10 lesser plains bol (900ham, 100 > attack, similar mundane stats). Why? It didn't give me any "you have to modify this pet's stats" message. It just said I had no chance of controlling the pet.
In any case, here's my second question. I started sampling dna the other day. I started out on the low cl creatures, like the critters outside of Coronet. When I'd sample I noticed that they'd die. Now, being a complete noob to BE, I was thinking this was probably because they went aggro after I got the sample and I smashed them like the bugs they were (also being a TKN). But I decided to go sample some of the higher CL creatures on Endor and the same thing happened. The sampling killed them. Is that supposed to happen? I didn't think I was supposed to be able to samplekill a redstar in one hit...
Makes me wonder if they'll ever let us sample other players...![]()

My best answer on this one is you already had too many pets in your datapad, or you had a droid or other pet called at the time. There is no reason you should have been unable to control that pet.

My personal best is 9 samples from a single mob before it died.

Not sure about your lesser plains bol problem, but I can give you info about your sampling questions.
When you sample DNA there are a few things that can happen, you can fail but not get agro, you can fail and get agro, you can succeed w/o agro, succeed with agro, and succeed and kill the creature. The lower lvl your sampling skills are the higher the change of either getting agro, or killing the creature when you sample.
So, as a Sampling 1 BE its normal for you to kill a lot of the creatures you sampl e from. You success rates will increase as you level up.
