There was couple reasons I became disillusioned with BH. My first hunt at novice, I track down the mark, I send in my 7k ham pet and open up on him.... before you can say ouuuch my dollbaby is incaped and Im at clone center. After all the work to get BH for that..... Now after I took my baby to med center and payed to have her healed up,we went back. This time I called in my adv probot and we did take the mark down with some minor changes to tactics. Still we came out in serious bad shape.

Now I know theres chance the marks are gonna be nerfed a lil, and I could wait on that. Also if I wanted to be like all the rest of the BHs I could whip out a carbine and spam that golden move to down the mark. But why did I go thru the pain to become a BH, supposedly the most unique class (not, they everywhere) just to be identical to all the rest. I could also use the bleed/run/peace tactic; whats the fun in that and imo it borderlines a exploit (I dont blame the BHs that do it, its mandatory because of bad game design.)

Biggest reason Im leaving BH is while was healing up the second time I sat down and asked myself why BH. Its not what I expected at all. Theres no tailing the mark, no investigation, no silent clad figure standing in back the room surronded by a cloud of respect and fear.. its get job/fly new city/kill/repeat... just way to boring in my eyes. After spending time reading the BH board I realized being a BH wasnt anything to do with the profession. Its a class designed for those that want to be uber in PvP. To each his own play style but I spent 5 years on PvP server in EQ, and PvP is not what Im looking for here, I need a break from it. That coupled with fact 90% the BHs are the "uber doods that just pwned joo" type attitudes. Its not for me.

I see much more fun in being a ranger, exploring the galaxy with her faithful cats by her side.

Atleast when end day comes then I could say spent a day playing with some style. I came to SWG to live in the star wars fantasy, not sit around snickering cause I whooped up on some in PvP. I have nothing against those that enjoy BH; just not what Im looking for in SWG.

After working so hard to get bounty hunter, I decided I realy did not like it at all and have decided to untrain it. My new template will contain CH and either 3 boxes in the elite style of pistol, rifle, or polearm. Im leaning towards polearm so was wondering if some the more exp handlers out there have much experience in playing melee with thier pets? All the handlers Ive met are ranged weaps. Specifically, does being in melee combat remove the pets normal tanking roll and you now soak the agro?

Sorry if I missed thread with answer, so many them to try and search thru

Generally pets are used to replace tanks. Training in Polearm is probably a bad idea as you run the risk of training a high level enemy onto you instead of onto your Gurreck...

Personally, I prefer Pistol the most - not only is it probably the easiest to level up, it allows you to stay close enough to heal your creature when needed (This is essential while your creature is a baby!).

Rifles are iffy... Creatures are infamous for their bad pathing - you may end up being very frustrated trying to use a creature and a Rifle at the same time.

Just curious - why'd you decide to quit BH?

I actually have to questions, after getting Inter. Fire arms crafting about 2 days ago i was happy cause i could actually offer stuff people would pay for. Well now that im about 10k into it, (Decided not to grind for a lil) I decided that tommarow im gonna grind, cause I have the resources, so i need some advice, 1. What should i grind? I was wondering what would be the best, and fastest thing to grind. and 2. I was thinking, I was planning on getting Inter. Tech. because my expermineting sucks, but I was thinking, maybe i should go Adv. for more xp, so i can get Inter. Tech Faster, then i would going inter tech. then adv. . The thing is im in a bit of a pickle theres a weaponsmith whos about the same as me, i was ahead of him for about a day but all he does is grind. luckly he ran out of resources, so i think i should grind to have an upper hand on him. I shouldn't have taught him Inter Firearms crafting lol. Plz any Advice would be very nice. Thank you.

well.. that all depends on a few things.. if you have no problems with getting really good materials, then go to the next level of better weapons.. if you dont have good materials.. experimenting can help make up for that.. I dont have the time, or connections to go running around different areas, or even different planets to find the premo stuff.. but im lucky in the fact that outside my backdoor, ive never gotten below 680 quality materials, and often get 800 and above.. so my itmes turn out so so.. also, with all the extractors going, now with the limeted items in house being even lower it's not possible to keep everything you need in your house, and bank.. so saving the premo stuff when ya get it, is not as easy, unless you have friends to store it for you etc.. my sugestion is if you can make scout blasters, and fwg's, then up your experimenting..

Was it one with a lot of Mind HAM, action HAM, Health HAM, or even amount of each like a Human. This woild really help thks guys, Artisan is boring, and Marksman is tough if your poor and can't afford a good gun.

I have flamethrower 4 and im waiting for the new changes.

I need to know if the Flamethrower is going to be a weapon I can use all the time not just a suport weapon that is nice to have in certain situations...

Does anyone know if the current design changes taken to the flamethrowers made it into a viable weapon to use all the time?

Being a Chef and a Comando i don't have enough points to become any other elite combat profesion.. The reason I became a comando I really only like Flamethrowers in this game..

Can anyone help me out

The changes to the FT on TC were very promising. The high end damage looks to be really good, and the specials should do nice damage. I assume they are still going to be quite slow and will have a very short ideal range, like 16m if I remember correctly. If the changes are as they appear or improve further, you should be able to use the FT as a main weapon. I am not on TC and have just read the boards so this is purely speculation on my part.

the biggest problem I have with the flamethrower right now is that 15 sec delay betweem shots.

The flamethrower special attacks are supposed to be additions to the default attack. Unlike other ranged weapon types the flamethrower and HAR are not ment to be spammed with specials all the time. I can kill decent things now with my flamethrower with just the default attack (decent being swooper leaders, humbabas and such.)

It's a lot more strategy with the flamethrower and HAR than with the LP.

Also with how the flamer will be, you will actually want to wear armour all the time because of the fact that you wont be bodyshot2 ing all the **edit** time.
