Thread: Twice last night!!
Ok, I am not very knowledgable about BE right now, but I am learning. What would someone want 50 crap pets for? is it for Ch training or something? Just curious.
Kind of sad that your giuld mates would go that low when you tried to explain things to them. I find it rather funny.
Just wait until they fill the order, they will feel so screwed. ![]()
Funny thing is, if quality doesn't matter, why does it seem like CHs like to approach mainly masters for this? It's not like we'll complete the task any faster than a novice BE. I can see people that want statue pets, because only masters have access to certain skins. From my experience, if someone wants statue pets, they're pretty up front about wanting a statue, and are pretty specific about what creature skin he wants. When someone just says he wants 50 or more "crappy pets," 99.9% of the time, it's for CH grinding.
For novices that want to go into this business, I've said it over and over again, do NOT sell yourself short. Yes, you'll get lots of xp for doing this, but it is very time consuming. Don't let the CHs justify paying you chump change for "crappy" quality pets. You're still using up a lot of resources and time to do this for them. I would say that at least 2K per pet is fair (although I personally think it should be MUCH more, if people want to "buy" their xp, they should be willing to pay a premium for it.)

I have created and sold 100 pets for CH training in the past few days. I can easily create a 'statue' type per per minute (give or take a few seconds) because of a macro I wrote to sample from my Speederbike (shared it in a tips message I posted here a week or so ago) and a combination of Brandy, Fried Ice Cream, and Muon. An MB responded to my post about doing this by telling me I was insane, but I have found it to be quite fun, and relatively easy.
FYI - I sample Rills, Gorgs, Eopies, etc around my house and when my inventory fills, step off my bike and VERY quickly craft the parts and pets using my crafting droid and 4 crafting kits I made for myself. After a few rounds like this, I go back to the house an trasfer the new 'statue' pets to a packpack waiting there. When I reach 50 (in less than 2 hours Iif I don't get distracted), I let the customer know and we make a trade.
I have had, and am currently filling orders for 200 and 500 pets. The money is great, and they are trade grinding meat to me as part of the deal which helps a lot. It's good crafting XP, and I already maxed out on DNA sampling XP in just a few weeks. Oh, and by the way, I have also made about 50 really nice pets (after sampling trips to Dant or Endor) that I am storing in another backpack to eventually sell, or resample from as needed for personal projects.
Your milage may vary, but this has been a fun way for me to get BE crafting XP. MUCH more fun that sitting ther creating a ton of practive items taht jsut waster resources. Thi way I get to help others with their XP, amke some money, and refine my sampling techniques. I see it as all good. =)

The reason the creature handlers approach masters is for speed. A novice is going to fail A LOT trying to get DNA. They are also going to get one maybe two samples. A master will get potentially many more samples in a lot shorter period of time..
If you were to sample the crap out of yard trash you could easily crank out first gen trash gnorts pretty easily. 30K for a yard trash gnort is kind of pricey but I never question how a person runs his/her business.
Way back when, BE's used to craft specific templates for specific animals. You want an eopie? You made an eopie template and put it in an eopie body. Every eopie turned out pretty much the same give or take a little HAM. Making a trillion eopies for a creature handler was a way for a BE to make money since wild animals were so much better. You also have to remember we made pet stims and vita packsby hand. Factories didn't accept bio-engineer schematics. You think we're borked now you should have seen us back then.
Creature handlers are shocked when you explain the new system. Its something they know little or nothing about. They just know you can make babies so they don't have to hunt for them. Tame, train, release. Its eopies on parade ![]()
