Thread: Jawa Beer Are BEs buying it?

I was thinking of setting up a vendor filled with just Jawa Beer.

I would use the most choice ingredients and push the +mask scent stat as high as it would go. I would also use tissues (ironically) to boost the jawa beer.

Would BEs buy it? How much would you pay per stack/crate?

Thanks =)

What server are you on? I doubt theres enough of a market to dedicate a vendor to it, especially since we'd only need it for hunting the high end stuff like MRs, and thats not an every day kind of assignment. However, you could probably sell a few crates individually, I know on Lowca I'd love to have a chef drop a crate of good beer on my vendor.

We definately use this, and I normally custom order from friends who are Chefs (Even though this is an Artisan item). I believe it takes Wooly Hide which will up the price but really when sampling unless you are a Ranger, you can't do without it.

Another thing to note is that we don't use massive stacks of this like perma-ahrissa/brandy. A crate lasts me a long time and there aren't that many BEs around so the available market is a little smaller.

Plus it doesn't stack

Yeah I used it when sampling high end mobs or static spawns. I used it for MRs and I used it when visiting the KMH static spawn (who likes getting chased by 6 mereks?) but as Lloyd said, it really isn't used in the same level as brandy. I also think that people aren't aware of it, especially since a lot of the game population don't explore the forums much.

Maybe in the new FAQ we should add a section about how to improve your chances of avoiding an agro, and we can start by ensuring that after having a shower in the morning, and spray on your deodorant then you have a beer before setting out

Don't forget that there also those new stim thingies that you inject and can give you +10 to your maskscent.

I use it all the time. I made an arrangement with an artisan for half a dozen crates. If you have combat ability, wooly isn't hard to get. Just watch for a good Dant spawn and go kill Huurton.

U can get a fair amount from the cyborg huurtons and others in the warren...Also pretty decent for weapons xp. It may not be as much as missions, but u have a little more fun while doing it

I really appreciate all of the replies so far =)

I'm just in the dark as of how to charge for it?! The resources and labor aren't all that much. It is wooly hide, and that is a composite armor ingridient... But I don't think it'll be too hard to get my hands on some of it.

What are you guys and gals paying for it? By the crate I mean.

I'd settle for something small. I'm not looking to make millions here =) I just think it would be a fun new thing to craft as a master artisan.

Well...I got a really good batch off a Chef friend of mine. I supplied the light nutrients, and he made 2 crates of Jawa Beer using the quality of Wooly Hide that should never be used in this sort of schem just to see how high he could get it

I paid him a little over 100k (Maybe 125k?) for the 2 crates if I remember rightly. If u include the 2crates of nutrients it was around 150k for 2 crates, or 75k each which I thought was pretty decent

Do you recall what the stats were on the beer Lloyd? When I make it I go cheap. Use whatever wooly I can get inexpensively, use some decent flora, and some mediocre additives, and with my dom arts 4 (no artisan engineering skills) it usually comes out either +12 or +13 for me. I tried selling it for a few months with little success. But then again, I didn't advertise it, and BE's aren't usually the ones buying things in my store (at least I hope not...) so perhaps that's why it sold so poorly. I think I tried various prices between 25k/crate - 50k/crate, and no dice. Well anyhow, I think I have around 20 crates of it now, and I go through it at a rate of about 1 crate every 3 or 4 months, so I'd say it's pretty much a lifetime supply... and then some, lol.

Does anyone know if the beer stacks on top of the maskscent stims? Or if they're capped at +25 combined? If they are, youd only need to hit +15 on the beer

The stuff I have is:

Qty 15
Fill 20%
Mask Scent +18.25
Dur 14m 24s

Thats some pretty strong beer It masks my scent by melting the nose/snout of any creature in a 100m radius

On Bria (server specific of course), I usually login as my friend's artisan toon and make it myself on my own factories. If I had to pay for it, however, 20k/crate would be reasonable IMHO. It isn't a drink that requires an elite crafting class and uber resources with high demand, so it wouldn't be a high cost item whatsoever.

lol if only i could have found this on my server...

eventually i broke down and got a chef friend to do it for me. I provided him with some killer +57 micros (i think that's what they take...it was +X7 on the stat whatever it was)

he still hasn't finished it and it's been near a month or so now

hopefully it'll greatly help my mask scent ability.

and i reallllllly can't wait for the secret research data.

Can you say +50 Jawa beer?

only a be would dream of such a thing...
