Your meat prices are VERY generous- I'd say most servers are looking at 50 cpu min for anything worth hunting - over 100 or 150 if its something good for docs, too. You shouldnt be paying for flora, especially at 10 cpu. 3 cpu is the most ANY harvestable resource should go for, especially since our floral needs are so non-specific. Still, 50 cpu is about the most you can pay, since thats 1M for a full run's worth, and still make any reasonable profit. I'd say anywhere from 1.3-1.8M for BSNs in the 87 and up range is a fair price. 1.3 to 1.5 maybe for 86's, if the chefs are desperate enough =) The guy selling for 1.25 probly has guild connections to lower his meat overhead.

that about nails it
Hehe.
I'm not sureu guysare seeing my point here. I'm not on about the BSNs, I'm on about thevalue ofthe raw resources not the cost. I get meat and Flora for less than server prices, but I could then resell themat server prices.
For example, let's considersmugglers and slicing. a smuggler can get 10k per slice at say 2mins per slice. thats 300k an hour. A TKM or other master combat profession can make >1mill in the same time on Dantooine doing Shamen missions. In this case if we have a char who is Smuggler/TKM, he would be better off financially killing Shamens for an hour, rather than slicing for an hour.
As a BE who can obtain resources at lower than server prices, I am better off financially selling my resources than turningthem intoChef Tissues. Higher Profit margin.
Normally something is worth more than than it's components. In this case it isn't.

I appreciate what you say about flora being 3 cpu max, however recent auctions on the Chimaera trade have gone for a lot more than that. In particular one resource, Tat fungus called Sefo, has been selling for 15 cpu. I've paid upto 10cpu for this.
Even if Iget resources for 3cpu, I'd be better off selling them for 10cpu.
Same with meat. (Our penultimate Dath Carn meat was a REALLY good spawn, and the MAX I saw that go for was 45, I was paying 20.)
Paying 15 cpu for an out-of-shift resource is OK if you're a chef; your schematics will call for more specific things like Tatooine Fungi, so it makes sense your stocking up on it.BEs just require any flora; the odds that there's something decent in shift mean you can go plop down 6 harvesters on the location and harvest 100k lots for .5 cpu (I think thats what the cost in power and maintenance was averaged out as). Why would you pay 20-30x that for something that anyone with basic artisan can find (which you have to have to have a vendor anyway), and anyone that knows where it is can harvest while they're not even in the game? =)
And enjoy low cost meat while it lasts. Wait till your best meat in shift is Dathomir Avian meat, like it was on Corbantis a few months back. Docs will be scrambling over one another trying to offer the best bid, since they can turn like 35 units into a 30 use buff pack that will net them 60,000 credits. We turn 20 units into a tissue that nets us maybe 2k credits tops. Thats 1700 CPU gross income for theirmeat, 100 CPU gross income for ours. You just cant compete with docsfor profitability, they'll beat your bids on meat every time and whistle while they're doing it.

If you only want money, then just sell the resources.
If you want to be a BE, then do not worry that you get more money selling resources than making a tissue as long as you can profit.
Does it make sense? Not really. Selling tissues has never made sense when you look at what chefs were willing to pay versus how much profit they got, and only when using BE tissues. The market is one giant psychological experiment and while fun to watch, often runs counter to logic.
