Hi Folks,

Now that the global vendor listing change has gone live, what are your thoughts and experiences with it?

Moderately useful.....they need to find a way to recategorize items in bags and factory crates according to what is actually IN them

its great for finding pilot components and weapons (things you only buy 1 at a time basically) but useless for finding anything crated (meds, foods) or that comes as a set (armor)

From a BE perspective, it means its great for pet sales, but useless for tissues. It was nice to see all my competition on Lowca for pet sales....validated my high pricing hehe. So sad seeing all these hodgepodge recipe CL25-45 animals with no armor, 25% kinetic and energy resists, odd specials and resists across the board with mediocre damage.

My tissues vendor won't be listed. I have people who regularly come to me for tissues, and I have enough keeping up with demand as it is. I'd hate for some people to break up nice sets of tissues because they didn't know what they were doing.

Well i found that that instead of spending the time driving around searching for a vendor i spend it staring at the bazaar flipping page after page of junk stuff.

So the only thing good about it you save the fee to fix your bike(Shrug)

I never thought about stuff sold in packs. I liked the vendor listings. I always wondered why I wasn't able to see stuff except itemss on the bazaar.

It does mean you have to do a lot more sifting though to find what you need. A guildmate made a great buy on a loot item. There is good and bad about everything. I think the move to a global listing was in the best interest of the game. I especially like that you, as a vendor owner, can opt out if you choose to do so.

I list mine as L10 Razor Cat - dizzy and so on.. This means that on my OWN vendors they can be easily sorted by level. This means that on the global bazaar listing they are all clumped together in the 'L's

I go:

CLxx health/action/mind ARx (xx/xx/xx/xx resists or kxx% exx%) (notable special) skinname

for example...

CL10 4603/3402/2245 k14% Cu Pa

why?

CL is the 'cert' of the clone. it defaults to sort by this stat, since it comes first.

among the CL range, it will sort by H/A/M.

if it has AR1, that will bump it up in the sort over resist values.

specials? we all have differing opinions on what is useful. my vote is solidly on intim, with stun/blind/diz/crip also being useful.

the skin? we all know that the skin is either a concern only for movement speed, overall size, and cosmetics. if a customer likes the CL, the HAM, the resists, and the specials? I can probably sample it down and reskin it.

since I'm on TC, I don't much need to advertise the 'creator' in the name of the pet... your results will vary.

Another thing I've noticed about the new global search option is the number of people who enabled the search on a vendor that they use for storage space. When flipping through the pages of items I see a LOT of items for 999999999 credits.

I had a shock when I saw my own chef tissues for sale on someone else's vendor (they have my name in the name of the item). I recognized it as one of my regualr buyers and the price was a little more than double what he bought them from me for. This is when I realized that he's probably just storing them and not trying to markup and resell my tissues. If you're gonna use your vendor to store stuff, you can at least hide it inside a bag and make sure you set the price outrageously high so people know it isn't really for sale.

that soundsa little fishy.....i dont see why you wouldnt store items at 9999999999. Sounds like he is trying to scalp your tissues. What tissues were they, how many, and how much do you charge? you might be undercutting unintentionally

He seems like a pretty respectable guy, has a big chef business. He had about 5 full factory runs I had sold him, and they were all set to 4mil each even though some were better than others. The best set was probably BSN +86 and the worst one was +82. I can't imagine anyone paying 4mil for +82 BSNs, lol. I'm not too worried, but I may send him an email. Also, since they were travel packs, it is quite possible that they weren't full anymore, I didn't look at the contents count for them.

I think they need to let us look inside containers on vendors, and factory crates should be listed according to what they are crates of instead of a "factory crate" category.

I flicked through so many pages and found nothing that I liked. I examined all moderately sized stacks of meat (3000+) and found that they were either low quality or unreasonably priced. Methinks that I was beaten to it. I then went through all the flora. GOSH THAT TOOK AGES. Again, nothing there. There was some nice lok wild wheat for 4cpu, but since I had just made a batch of pet stims, saw little point. At this point I gave up. There were a large number of items constantly repeated. I think that over 70% of the stock listed on the screen had been repeated at least once.

In summary it is inefficient and a waste of time. It causes lag (had to wait 10 mins to bank tip someone) and is, frankly, USELESS until they improve the ability to filter items. Just think, they could have used this time to fix bugs but instead they just made more.
