I'm curious to see what other BE's are experiencing on their servers. Ever since the more detailed combat upgrade notes have came out , my sales in tissues and supplements have taken a nose dive (and I sell dirt cheap!). Talking to members in my guild, many of them have stopped buying huge quantities of stuff like brandy because they think that brandy might become worthless after the CU. My guild's tailor is slowing down his work on BE clothes as well as he doesn't know what going to happen to the stats on them. I went out shopping for Brandy for my ranger alt last night and found a couple of shops selling good brandy for 50k a full crate! It would seem that some chefs are trying to dump their inventory before the CU hits.
On the flip side, I am getting much more requests for BE pets. Its a pity I don't have the time to work on BE pets.
Are others BE's experiencing the same thing?
Cheers,
Withme Freysen

What I'd do is just keep stacking up all the good resources and hold out on them. I can't imagine swg making all the BE tissues useless that wouldn't make sense at all. What will happen is the tissues will get balanced in with the chef stuff. Well that's how it should happen anyways, but if they mess that up then yes chef or BE will get the shaft. I seriously dought they will hurt a profession without giving them something else.
Like I said I'd just sit and stack up all the resources you normally use and wait it out like them. Once they need something from you say well let me see what i have and set new prices for you delay of sales. Good ole supply and demand trick. That's all the chefs are doing really. Plus why would they sell for cheaper whent his is 6+ weeks away that doesn't make much sense. I haven't seen any price changes on tarq and I don't think they will tell after the patch.

You should tell this to the entertainers.
Since the documents went public, requests for tissues have gone up dramatically for me. I went from just doing the odd vendor sale to getting constant full run requests.

In times of change, there are the panicky, the calm, the right and the wrong.
Panicky players will freak out, consider the worst possible outcome as a "sure thing",and either bail or "freeze up" (not do anything). Selling food at a loss is probably a good sign of a panicky player.
The calm players will try to predict the post-change landscape and adjust for that (preparing by gathering resources for new in-demand products, thinning out stock of items that won't be as much in demand, etc).
Both of the above categories can fall into the "right" and "wrong" side of things. Panicked predictions are probably more likely to be wrong, but not necessarily.
Personally, I expect food to be just as marketable post-CU as now, although almost certainly with a shift in what's "best". Food tissue sales follow food sales at practically 1-for-1, but chefs may be uncertain about what the next big thing is going to be, so have to either ramp down production, risk putting tissues into foods that won't be as profitable, or hoard raw tissues.

I think a lot of people will slow their production of mass produced items and begin producing hand crafted elite items such as high quality weapons, armours etc in the hope that the 'great nerf' will go easy on them. It ties in with the recent explosion of krayt spawns. Decent krayt compo segments before the CU will be great post-CU. Hoarding is definately taking place but in my guild (a powerful Farstar crafting guild) people are acting with caution. We need a new WS and yet they want to wait. I guess people are being sceptical about whether or not people are going to hang around after powergamers have to go out in groups.

i think lots of crafters have slowed down.. i for one havent made a thing and im selling all my stock dirt cheap soo i can start fresh..
the people buying lots and making tons are just gonna screw themselves as everything is changing and they are gonna be stuck with tons of finished product that i think will be totally worthless. Its already stated that stuff in schematics, crates and existing is going to change..
with the ham being totally changed that means chef foods are in need of a total revamp some of the effected stats wont even exist. Do i expect foods to take on a whole new light?? heck ya.
IMO gone are the days of heavy comp, uber buffs and stacking brandy.. we will find out who the good chefs are.. and good armorers and ws.. and who is just a hack
id expect different tissues to be used too, namely the filling reduction, or duration as food stackers i think will be the next way of doing things. Just a guess though. id just save resources and wait and see. Besides breaks are good in anything : )

Personally, I've just about stopped making anything. I'm just collecting resources and waiting to see what happens.

I have had some major runs on chef tissues... Tailor tissue seem to have slowed abit.... which is odd since on Intrepid GF7 (grooveFest 7) is starting next weekend. This is a large player event which there are many many Vendors showing there wares to all.
I think there are going to be many interesting changing coming. I am not personally worried about making to much tailor or chef tissues, since anything no longer being used will be updated to the new items. I am have slowed down tho on my BE pet creations since that is a very iffy area.. and since items will be changed.. I don't want my time and such possible wasted on a pet which will change the targeted shopper. NOn Ch pets.. all of a sudden becoming CH pets or something.
I am very interested in hearing more about the BEs role in the medical side of things. New things to craft... hurray!

Is it me of do the correspondents need to step up and let us players know what is going to happen. Give out as much info as you can. People are starting to panic and there is going to bea month of so of complete madness coming up tell they understand whats going on. Just seems sad how no one will say a thing about what is going on.

Correspondents are under an NDA where the CU is concerned.
