Hi folks,
I need your help...
If you are getting a critical failure where you are losing your dna or dna template since this last patch when live, please report it here. Please specify:
a) critical failure during assembly of the dna template prior to experimentation -> lost dna samples
b) critical failure during assembly of the final creature from the dna template -> lost dna template
It is my understanding that the expected behavior is that there are still critical failures but that our components ought to be returned to us when it does occur during an assembly step.
Oh, and if you experience this in any other area of crafting (tissues or whatever), please let me know about that as well.
thanks for your help!

Darnit, I was really excited by this change. I will dutifully report back the results of my critical failures, however, I glumly must note that the BioEngineer crafting system seems to utilize several unique subroutines and components that may not have been looked at during this patch. /salute.

I'll test this tonight. My toon has a knack for crits.
I was thinking of doing an MR assembly tonight. Well, at least that would be one way to assure myself of a critical fail

Crafting pets last night. Out of the 10 or so I did, one crit fail on combining DNA samples. Lost all the DNA.

I'll be making trash deco pets later tonight and I'll keep my eye out for crit fails and results for these.

The Dev's view of the BE profession mayhaps?
I mean... *obviously* it's not crafting to use a crafting tool to combine dna samples into a template or to create tissues so BE naturally shouldn't benefit from the various fixes done to the crafting professions.
...

Well I think that we are more overlooked than anything. As a previous poster said -- the BE profession is different to many other professions as we use different sub routines and functions then other crafting professions. This means when a blanket crafting patch is applied -- is often quite likely that the code it is applied either does not affect us or is over-ruled by a different sub-routine.

Just like it has on just about EVERY OTHER crafting patch that has gone through....you'd think by now "check the patch on BE crafting" would be on their debugging checklist
