Thread: critical fails post-patch?

My critical failes are during assembly of the dna template prior to experimentation and I would lose all resources/DNA that went into putting it together.

While I was making pets last night, I had 2 critical failures during the initiall combine. Lost all 5 dna samples both times.

For me: A.
I got a critical failure when assembling the template. I lost 3rd generation DNA
If it matters, I was out in the field with my 110 medical rating droid.

Yesterday (Saturday) I was crafting CL10's in the field with a droid and +14 crafting tool. I critical failed and lost all 5 samples. Voritor dasher and servorrt.
I'm not upset about the loss because it was low level DNA. I'm upset that bio-engineers, who craft components for so many professions, are so often forgotten when crafters are addressed by the developers.
Oh, I should add that I bugged the loss. I received no reply, but that doesn't surprise me.

just got critical failure on a 4th Gen, lost everything from the last 2hours of work
It was on the assembly roll. Mighty pissed of.

Crit failed and lost the dna during template creation. Was in a research city, using a +15 tool, and a +43.??? station.

Critical failed another time on a DNA template and lost all DNA. I was using a crafting droid and a 15.00 crafting tool.

Had a crit fail yesterday afternoon, first group of DNA for the session, and Critial Fail, and yes, lost the DNA.... :-(

I lost all my dna when i was down to the 2nd gen! AHHH, all that dna gone

I lost them on assembly, before experimentation phase.Also, i don't know if this is normal, but my experimentation has been REALLY blowing if I don't use bespin. I mean, i went through about 6 tries without bespin to get my BSN's to get their correct value (87) and they kept getting moderate/good successes, and a few failures. Did anyone else notice their experimentation success go down after this patch too? I don't remember *NEEDING* bespin to make tissues before.

Perhaps as a trade off they have increased chance of getting a less-than-great sucess when experimenting. If that's the case it sounds like we got caught by both sides of the sword and now our crafting is buggered again.

im in a research center too and without bespin I have a very high chance of ruining my resources (meat is so frigging expensive). And as you know, if your doing alot of crafting, you can't pound bespin because you can only drink so much.Arthur, this is definitely something to bring to the dev's attention...

Tell me about it. But with my luck, even junk pets give me crits. I once was requested to make a junk pet for grouping. So I left the Bestine cantina and left for the outskirts to get DNA from the trash creatures. I couldn't believe how many times I failed on worrts. I got a bodyguard to kill the creature when it aggro'd me since my toon has ZERO ground combat abilities. Once I got enough DNA, I went to the public crafting station and got a crit during the initial combine. Okay, recalled my bodyguard and got another set of DNA. This time I pulled out my old and faithful crafting droid. DNA combined just fine. I did one experiment point and placed it in a kima skin. Voila, another crit. I then went to the bazaar. Flipped through all the newb BE clones people placed on the market. Found a lvl10 with stats comparable to one I would've crated. I payed the extorted price of 6k and gave it to the entertainer. She was happy. Glad she didn't realize it wasn't mine.
