How do all of you Tailors determine your pricing? There are so many items to make, I can't think of a good system yet. Also, I want good prices, not these master level things for under 2k, etc.

A lot of people are working off of Nivea's price sheet and adjusting it to what they feel comfortable with. Here's the link.

Howdy Fellow Weaponsmiths,

My name is Augger and I am a WS on the Flurry Server. After much grinding and work, I have finally gotten master gun smith. My current stats in WS are 1/4/0/4...My question is about the guns I am now able to make. I have no idea how to price them. Could anyone share with me what they think a fair price for a decent laser Carb/Rifle is and also what a decent price on a hvy part. beam cannon, or a light lightning cannon is, I really have no idea...because I have never needed any of these guns for myself. I know people will say whatever the market will bear, but I need a starting point to sell these things at, and I honestly dont know.

Thanks for any advice,

Augger

this is very server dependent, your best bet is to shop around 4-5 gun shops, compare your stats and develop your prices compared to thiers.

Also if you check your servers board every so often other smiths may put price lists up. Several smiths on starsider do that, so I let them go my price research for me .

New BE as of last night. Yes it's a holo but I'm enjoying myself and will probably end up sticking. Hey it was the free holiday holo what can I say heh. Anyway, what I'm wondering is how the heck do people determine prices for their tissues they sell? I know most folk don't even get to make the ones that involve milk, but I know prices vary drastically from server to server. A Tailor friend of mine on Scylla only has to charge an extra 100c/point of bonus to make her expenses back on buffed tissue, yet on my wife's character over on Wanderhome she routinely sees people paying 120k for itssues. My guess is the tissue in question needed milk, but if that wasn't the case why in the world would it be that expensive?

Anyone have a basic pricing guide for tissues since folks seem to be worried about Holo BEs undercutting their biz? I don't recall seeing anything in the FAQ on pricing.

Until you get tissue 3, most of the tissues you make won't be that great, maybe +2-+5, you can probably sell these for around 500-1000c per tissue.

When you get tissue 3 and can make the better versions of the above mentioned tissues +10 easily you can get a great deal more maybe 1K per bonus, as I see people selling clothes with good bonuses in them for 40 or 50K easliy.

Hello, I am about to hit Master and plan to start stockpiling resources. What method does everyone use when it comes to pricing? Im look for a base equation. Then with demand and stats i'll add the rest.

First I add up the total number of resources used(not including components)...then I multiply the answer by a variable amount(5 Novice, 10 for Level 1, 15 for Level 2, 20 for Level3, 25 for Level 4 and 50 for Master). I then add the components to that number. That is what I charge. If it uses a specific resource...ie Dolovite Iron or Ditanium Steel...I count the specific resource twice.

Then I make modifications based on apparent going rates and stats.

For example... Lance:44 units + Control Unit + Blade Vibro Unit

Control Unit:31 units x 50(Master Artisan)=1550

Blade Vibro Unit: 33 units x 5(Novice Weapons) = 165

Lance: 44x10(Melee 1)=440+1550(Control Unit) + 165(Blade Vibro Unit) = 2155cr

That is my rough estimation on pricing.

I had braught this up once. All it really amounted to was that you have to go with the flow and the market on your server. PLanet even.

On dantooine, i was sellin gmy laser carbs for 7500. My dealler on tat was selling them for 10. so it all depends on the market

you sell alance for 2200? **edit**, i think thats cheap. People buy easy to make wepaons(curved sword, ryyk blade) for 3k. But as I said, its all your market. Everyone decides for themself

I never really had a fomula for my pricing, when I was first starting the planet I was on had a huge weapon dealer, and theonly way I could compete is if my prices were near hers.

T21's 22,500 credits

Laser Rifles/Carbines 9k

Scout Blasters 3.9k

FWG5's 4.5k-5k

Flamethrowers 14k

Most os my melee weapons are between 2.5k thru 5k with 2 or 3 higher than 5k the most expensive being the LVA at 8.5k

I think my pricing scheme is very sound, I have a hardtime keeping most of my weapons in stock when I have less than 15 of each on a vendor. 25+ of each will last me over a week.

I have bulk discounts as well. Jahar if you want to talk about this or if you need help, check out my vendor, or we can chat nexttime you are online I would be glad to talk to you about this. Since we live in the same city and all.

Pricing is also different on each server, so you are going to get a wide variety of ideas here, but I think what Valcyn has now works, when the game first went live pricing was ugly, but Scoutblasters went from 20k each to less than 5k each and are about twice as good as well.
