Thread: DNA Sampling tree
Are you using a griding micro ?Ive been told grinding takes 12 hours for all 3 trees. Get yourself a macro, grind for a hour or 2 at a time. Youll finish without goign insaine ![]()
I was one of the very first Master Bio Engineers in the game. I was at it when dna sampling was so easy it was amazing. There were hardly any failures in dna sampling and you could sample any one creature 4-7 times before it died. And that was at any level of dna sampling. I am now working on mastering Bio Engineer for the third time because of some stupidity. (not because of holo's mind you) Upon doing it the third time, I find it is a bit more difficult than before. But I came up with an awesome solution. I know most BE's use the /dismount ; /sampledna; /mount macro, but I don't.
Here's what I did. I'm a Master TK. I've stripped myself of all my armor. I take 2 shots of brandy. The brandy helps in 2 ways. You get more of a mind pool and less of a drain. I head over to Dantooine, take 2 10k Picket Plains Walkers missions, and head out to do some sampling. If I'm successful on the sampling for a picket it's 346 xp and for a picket plains walker it's 370 xp. If they aggro due to too many failures, I'll kill them. As soon as my fullness from the brandy subsides half way, I take another shot for even more mind and less drain. This enables me to sample without having to sit down and wait for my mind to regenerate. This goes really quick if it's done right.
This is the first time working on BE. I did the crafting skill boxes first just to get them out of the way. I am now half way through box 3 in DNA sampling. I enjoy the thrill of DNA. What I do not like is the fact that sometimes I can get three or four successful DNA samples then 10 or more failures. There has to be a better way to figure out the failure rate. Other then that I am having fun with this profession.
XiLorith
(not per letter but its the same macro for combat w/o thefighting)
/mask
/ui action target self
I have not heard of sampling Gurks. I have been spending all of my time on Dant sampling Picketts. I shall now have to head to Lok for a change of pace.
