OK time for a new challenge.
Eventually the winning entries will have pride of place in a new recipe sticky to help out the newbs
The challenge is to make the 'perfect pet' for each category. A perfect pet is one that gets the most for your money metaphorically speaking, so resists only in the required areas and vulnerables everywhere else and the rest in either dps or HAM.
The categories are:
Non-CH (cl 10 or lower - bonus marks for being spot on cl)
Novice CH (cl 12)
Triplets (Cl 21-25)
Twins (CL35)
MCH (CL70)
Full recipes must be given so if you dont want to share then dont post
Theres no real time limit - the purpose of this is just to have some fun, a little friendly competition and at the end of the day come up with some nice recipes for newcommers to the profession to get started on.

Quick question you say you want a recipe I normally use special pets ie pets I havearound the house that have the desired specials but I've raised the resitances on through generations of breeding. Do the recipes have to be from scratch DNA, might leed to some very long recipes.

From scratch and preferably no bigger than 3rd gen anything more than that might be a bit of a shock to the system for someone starting out.

We say the system is bugged not because we are 'holier than thou' its because we know that to be a fact - the devs have publicly stated that there are bugs in the BE pet crafting system.
You dont represent 50% of BE's .
Droids dont use the same system as BE pets, the very top end droids are cl 18 not cl 10.

I never rember anyone say "Bugged"
I have heard that its not working as intended but not bugged. thunderheart may have said bugged but he has also used the word exploit in improper terms also. Bug and exploit have very specific gaming terms and are not interchangable with "not working as intended"
Also havent you heard that 90% of statistics are made up numbers? So dont go trying to prove me wrong on something so silly. its fair to assume that more than 50% of the well stocked BEs on the servers think like I do!

'perfect pet' is just so wishy washy though, beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. So I dunno about this one Nancy...

guess i best get my behind back into remastering this so i can take part And i think what Nancy meant as 'perfect pet' is simply 'your perfect pet' (at least thats how i would read it)
IE: everyone makes up a pet they believe to be a perfectpet, not everyone will come out with the same thing, and not everyone agree's which stats are most important for perfection
I beleive it is meant to be more light hearted than an ego contest.

I'm doing this so we can have a nice collection of recipes to get new BE's off the ground with until they're practiced enough to start making truely custom pets.

Not trying to troll, or ruin the discussion, but the PvP category is a little skewed. As evidenced in a post on the CH forums (http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=creature_handler&message.id=186463) CH *can* be a powerful class in PvP if they take the time to learn their pets and their enemies. Different circumstances in PvP call for different types of pets.

Like I said its not a competition, just a bit of fun, customers still ask for PvP pets and its all very subjective as to whether one pet is better than another or whether they're any use at all, but as long as we have fun and can create something as a community for those that follow after us then we've achieved the goal of this challenge

I've been going back and forth over whether or not to reveal my closely guarded formulae, but in the end I figured why not?
So, this is my contribution to the non-CH category.
This is a first generation pet, so nothing complicated here.

Experiment fully on physique and the result is a CL10(provided you don't fail the experimentation). Stats are:
8k/5k/3k HAM
50% kinetic resist, vulnerable to everything else
120-130 damage
usually no specials, but on occasion special 2 will be intimidation.
