How can you control what specials go on your pets? Also what does each of the five slots when making a schematic mean in the over all pcture of making a critter?

I am pretty aure that you put the DNA with the specials you want to transfer in the Psychological slot but I'm not sure.

I have been busting my ass to get and experiment with Mantigrue Screecher DNA for hours and neither of the specials made it to the final product.....

What is Plague Strike not a 'valid' **edit**ing attack.

from what I can tell so far if you want ranged attack you put ranged DNA in the mind slot but I cant figure out what the other 4 slots determine.

From my experience, Mind will determine Ranged Attacks, but there is a chance it will not carry through.

Aggression will determine the specials. However I have had other specials bleed through to replace one or both specials from other areas... I think this may be due to the quality of the samples in the other slots.

Mixing 2 specials from 2 difference species is still hit or miss with me. I've had some luck, but nothing concrete. Usually whatever is in Aggression will carry through.

Plague Strike is an AOE attack.

AOE attacks do not transfer to the final product.

Since you asked about the five slots: As far as experimentation goes, I assume the following:

Physique increases

  1. Hardiness which determines Health Pool

  2. Fortitude which determines Armor

Prowess increases

  1. Dexterity which determines Action Pool

  2. Endurance unknown

Mental increases

  1. Intellect which determines Mind Pool

  2. Cleverness which determines To Hit

Psychology increases

  1. Dependability unknown

  2. Courage which determines Attack Speed

Aggression increases

  1. Fierceness which determines Ferocity (some say skin determines Ferocity)

  2. Power which determines Damage

After you combine samples, but before you experiment, the Specials and Ranged Attack have already been determined. So, you need to choose your DNA samples properly (and get some luck) to get the Specials you want. In addition tousing the info I show above, choose your 5 samples according to:

Resists: 40% from Physique, 25% each from Aggression and Prowess

Damage: 40% from Aggression, 25% each from Psychology and Physique (not certain about these percentages)

Ranged: Psychology (other peopleuse Mental)

Specials: Mental and Aggression (othersinclude Physique, Psychology may have an affect too)

So, in summary, for the following slots, choose samples according to:

  1. Physique: 40% Resists, Armor, Health Pool, possibly Specials and Damage

  2. Prowess: Action Pool, 25%Resists

  3. Mental: Specials, To Hit, Mind Pool, Ranged

  4. Psychology: Attack Speed, Ranged, possibly Specials and Damage

  5. Aggression: Specials, 25% Resists, Damage

AOE is Area of Effect, meaning it will hit multiple targets if close together.

A good thing if you are fighting several opponents all aggroing on you, bad if only one is fighting back and the others are peacefully watching.

  • I've read this in a couple of other places. What do you experiment in order to increase it? Physique?
