Thread: lvl 23, 9k HAM, AR1, Specials AND 400 dmage doable????

Hi fellow BEs,
I made the mistake of taking a custom order and now I am stuck wtih the following:
My customer wants a lvl 23 pet, 9k, 7k, 5k HAM (approx), AR1, Strong Poison as special 1, intimidate, stun, blind, cripple as special 2 and ranged AND around 400 damage. I am able to make everything but the high damage. Anytime I try to get the damage that high the CL explodes as well....
Now my question is, is that combination actually doable or is it a mission impossible order???

In my opinion you are trying to push too many areas.
I personally dont have a pet like that, I can do it with less damage though very easily

The AR1 isn't doable. I don't think the 400 damage would be either. Other than that, the rest could probably be done with some combo of DNA samples.

Hmm, might be possible, but the 400 damage part is pretty arbitrary really. If you got the speed and to-hit down to the absolute minimums then it might be possible, but then again it won't be hitting any harder then it would with less damage and higher values in those other two areas so it's kind of pointless. In general the armored critters that I generally make in that CL range have a bit more HAM then that and closer to 200 damage than 400. It really is a mistake to let the customer dictate too many things to you.

It sounds like your customer wants a CL36-40 pet in a CL23 package
Tell them it can't be done and explain the reality of Creature Levels to them, would be my advice.

Its not everything that you want, but its a fair way there and you've got a whole 14 extra levels to get the extras in to
I dont know what went into this pet, I've linked it for you more as an encouragement. Its always nice to achieve the seemingly impossible.

Actually I got everything into a lvl 23 EXCEPT the damage, like you guys stated. It comes out usually around 130-150 damage....still not bad imo.
Well I will go on trying and once I get a satisfactory result, Ill post the recipe here.

I have a 24 Woolamander that has an 11k HAM, 42kin, Blind Intimidate and oh yeah 420DMG... It had light Armor, but my skin combine dropped it some how? Anyway he has ranged attack, so he doesn't need it, he sits behind my lvl 45 nargalatch that has AR, 60 kin, 520 DMG, & Dizzy. He just hangs spitting and spaming specials... they are my DYNAMIC DUO!!!

I didnt see anything in there about resists? If your customer doesnt care if his pet is vuln across the board you can squeeze more damage in...you can drop the AR1 too cuz it'd be pointless lol =)

Ok, gave up on it today...got everything in it except the high damage, but he didnt want it. Now he tells me that hehas several BEs working on it and so far only ONE was able to do it. Upon requestiong the name of that BE he fell silent lol. Thing is tho, he now said resists arent too important, as long as the pet doesnt have a lot of vulnerabilities...and that got me thinking...
maybe it IS possible...9k ham around, light armor, strong poison, and decent 2nd special, ranged and 400 damage.
Anyone have any tips? I will keep trying in between my orders, but it got me ll hot now, cause I have an MCH as well and could use a triplet pet like that lol

like you have been saying the damage is the hard part & to get that you are going to have to sacrifice with a bunch of vuln resists as I see it to keep the level down that low...probably want to use Merek DHs in the combo is my best guess off the top of my head...that will get you the strong poison & keep the resists down with light armor...I'd have to be paid A LOT to make this attempt

oh boy, my suggestion is forget about this guy and move on, he clearly has no idea what he wants. At CL 23 you *cannot* expect an armored pet with few vulnerabilities, I don't care how low the damage is. And with 400 damage on top of that? That guy is in for a rude awakening. I think you're better off not bothering with this loser. His request doesn't even make any sense. grrr.
