Hello everyone..

I made a load of Cu Pa (Ch and non CH) and i noticed that when they are trained for mount... that dont follow anymore...

Very Annoying.. the command is correctly configure but when i try to make it follow.. the pet stay where he is...

All the other commands seems to work...

Any of you guys have seen this behavior...???

It appends to me and one of my buddy ...

This is a known bug in Pub 7. Mounts do not respond to Follow Me command. You can try targeting yourself and giving the Follow Other command. No guarantees.

mybol does the same thing, but if i tell it to come, or follow, or whatever the command you have for it to follow you, it should do that. because if you think about it if the thing is a mount, it technically should be trained to stay when you dismount it. so i figure they changed the AI of the mounted creatures.

I have had this problem, but doing a /tellpet follow has been working, even though saying it outloud doesnt.

I've had the same problem with my Carrion Spat, except the only commands it responds to are Call (not really a command) and Store (and this isn't even a BEd pet).

My cu pa got stuck on an invisible wall but a dewey I made had no problem at all. Of course no mount will follow once you train them mount. You can tell them to follow and they will but once you stop andthen start running again you'll have to re-tell your mount to follow. I think the saddle destroys their mental abilities and leaves them brain dead.

This is one of the irritating bugs in Pub 7. Only /tellpet works, and that stops working as soon as you stop, once the pet catches up to you it stops following. Also, I have not seen my mounted pet execute attack something that is attacking me despite being given a guard command, this makes sense, since it had to be following for guard to work before.

This makes a mounted pet far less useful. Previously, it was worth riding a mount instead of a vehicle between closely spaced missions, because you could hop off and have a fully functional pet. It followed you so you could hop on to ride away when you were done. It contributed its damage, and a little distraction. It didn't lose its bufs as it would when stored, and never got stuck while you were riding it. The guard command was the pest way to have a pet select a target, as it rarely drew agro except from adds.

I havn't seen any indication that this is a recognized bug. Perhaps it is a stealth nerf to mounts.

Just to be clear...

I dont say the pet stop following me when it catch me....

I say IT DOES NOT FOLLOW ANYMORE....

Sequence:

1-Call the pet...

2- the pet comes out of the datapad...

3- go away a little bit forward with my char.

4 - type /shout f (f is my follow me command)

5- the stupid cu pa stay on his harss....

use /tellpet f instead of /shout f

But actually it's been around since publish 6. And while it is true that they come when you use a /tellpet follow, if they come to a stop, they're now "parked" again, so if you don't want them to park, you better keep moving. As a note, they behave like a normal pet until you actually climb on their backs then dismount.

As another strange note, lol, if your pet is in combat, don't mount it. After a few more turns, he will stop attacking and will no longer respond to another attack command, even if you dismount it.
