Bioengineering is a sickness.
If you are thinking of becoming a Bioengineer and want some advice. Take my advice and STOP! Bioengineer is not a profession, its a sickness. And once that sickness hits, you might not find out what to do, there may not be a cure. Walk away from this thread, read no further, go back to looting lairs and shooting up butterflies because if you go any further, its over. If you're still here, for all intense purposes, it will change the way you view everything when you acquire the sickness. Its like which pill do you take, the blue or the red, does Alice go down the rabbit hole or go back to work tomorrow thinking everythings ok.
Well im hear to say, i now understand the way mad scientists think, because the sickness has me and i cant stop it. Its all powerful andconsuming.
I thought it would be fun to dabble, and then at times it was frustrating so i got more serious and then i figured something out. Being a Bioengineer is like making Kool aid. Theres all kinds of flavors of Kool Aide and different means or ingrediants forKool Aid. But one thing is for sure, if you want Good Kool Aid, you have to have the one secret ingrediant. The ingrediant that makes the world go around. Now in Kool Aid, that ingredient is non other than sugar. You can have any flavor of Kool Aid you want, but without sugar, whats the purpose, its all a waste and needs to be thrown away. BUT ... you add sugar, and the whole world smiles back at you. I have my sugar, and the confusion and frustation has subsided. I am now an official mad scientist.
Well as being a Bioengineer, crafting pets is just like making Kool Aid, and tonight, while at work, on the clock, being consumed with my hidden passion of creating life, i have discovered ... my sugar. The funny thing, is through all the testing, trials, and confusions, the answer was right here in the BIO forum found with the magical and powerful search button. I now have my sugar for all my recipes and at first, i thought wow CL10 almost everytime, what ever in the world will i do. What will i do, oh ya, what will i do .... lol .... whats a cl10 w/o light armor. The quest has begun with the new sugar to reach immortality. There will be Light Armor for everyone.
You wonder what the next step is after reaching Bioengineer and thinking your a mad scientist. When you think the desires to create life is at all but reached. I'm here to say the next step is to become omnipresent. The next step is to become higher than a mystical Jedi. The next stop is the all powerful BioGod.
I see clearly the desire of the forum masters who want more critters to create. I see... I see...

I want more, even after i was incapped, i got back up, one stimp pack and /sampledna. Everything in my pack is like 50% decayed from dying and running back.
If you see me in game, stay away, i might /sampledna you. i might try to mix authur and a gnort. Just pull your T21 and end it from a far before its too late.
/rantoff i need to go home and log back in.
Find your sugar.

And the pets will come.

ya its a blast. about 3am this morning i finally started getting the light armor on cl10's. Bad thing is im out of dna with light armor now, gotta go sample.
Is there a way to confirm what a max level for a pet is?
Everytime i'm trying to create a new cl10 critter, which is about every time im making one, i am naturally shooting for 9-10k HAM. I just didnt know if that is realistic. Youve seen some really nice pics on here of high ham low level pets, but if i cant make a hermit spider go to cl10 with 10k ham, then i probably like to not waste my time trying. Is there a way to calculate when they may or may not be capped on how high they can get before you set your goals?

Hmmm. light armor on CL10. The lowest I ever hear it on was on teh cl15s that Zad made. And theres was more generational inbreeding than in a very inbred thing...(Don't want to make a non PC comment)
With light armor on CL10, I wouldn't be too worried about the HAM. Are these with 60% kin too? (Or near abouts)

Dude awesome post man. Can I have some koolaid you make. I'm starting the BE stuff but going very slow at it. I have a guildie askingfor tissues and afew others friends that could use the BE stuff. I keep reading about making pets and now I'm starting to think this might be fun. If mounts unleashed is something cool BE are going to be in heaven making pets again. I need to start learning about the recipes you guys are using and then start making pets once I get a little higher level. Would be cool if we compiled a spread sheet of different recipes of pets and then either did a sticky or kept it within the BE scientists.

Max level on a pet? hmmmm highest I've gotten is CL84. As far as max stats on a pet... we really don't have a firm answer yet. 11k health on a CL10 is very doable. With light armor? Maybe.
Do you have a screenie of the CL10 with light armor you made? Just wanna see it's stats and stuff.

I'm sorry Lloyd, i went to get that screen pic and i think i might have mispoken. I had about 8 Light armored pets and the lowest was a cl19 Kaadu with 46% kinetic. I went ahead and tried to regeneration it down and got it to 16 with LA and then my source of dna died off. I guess 3am was hurting me more than i thought. All of my cl10's did not have the armour on them, and avg 26% kinetic.
The best armored pet overall that i have atm is a light armour cl21 Bantha with 8700 health 3500 action 2200 mind with sudden strike, 41% kintetic.
I like him mostly because i want to make lower level stuff, ive made a lvl 40 narlatch that was 11k/10k/11k with 60 kin but it didnt mean that much to me since ill never be able to use it and i figure anyone strong enough to use one probably can get something better in the wild though im not familiar with CH as much, so i just recycled him.
Im sure many of you can beat this, but its really good for me and im motivated. I want to get some dna off the bantha but im afraid of him disappearing like some of my other pets have done.
I'll post some of the pics of the 10's when i have a place to put them.

Ah ok. The lowest AR1 that I know of is Zadokk's cl15 dewbacks. Whenever he went lower, it lost the armor, and hit cl5. This is the minimum level of the dewback skin so we don't quite know what would have happened in a cl2 skin. There have beensuggestions that AR1 is an automatic cl10 increase, so a cl10 with AR1 would disprove this.

That was like the BEST BEST BEST explanation for BE . I have it the worst, i am master chef/grinding BE. I have got the sickness and understand. Chef is like a drug addiction. Its so bad i have decided to become Master BE and Master Tailor with 2 seperate accounts to forfill my obsession for making the best animals, food and clothes. I think i have crafter addiction.....is that possible???????????????Does anyone else feel completely intertwined in this game to make the most UBER UBER UBER"stuff"(wouldn't let em put s.h.i.t)and like i cant sleep at night without knowing you all ppl have your "kool-aid" and all the many flavors that you desire. I feel your pain dude, Star wars.................What a drug..................Thanks SONY!!!!!!!!!!!! you bastards (DEVS) LOL
