Ah ok. The lowest AR1 that I know of is Zadokk's cl15 dewbacks. Whenever he went lower, it lost the armor, and hit cl5. This is the minimum level of the dewback skin so we don't quite know what would have happened in a cl2 skin. There have been suggestions that AR1 is an automatic cl10 increase, so a cl10 with AR1 would disprove this.




I was having some fun last week, and started a new CL35 project. I noticed armor added 8 levels to the final instead of the 10 I expected threw me way off. The gen sampling was pretty gnarly, and I went through a few packs worth of dna before I went to bed. I never did get the pet the way I wanted it. *shrug* If I can make more sense of my own notes I'll post the recipe. It got real convoluted at the end though. If the 8 levels is current then it's possible we could get an armored CL10.

How very interesting indeed. This sort of experimentation is going to be my one single goal in the CU. I want the devs to see that I can make CL15/12/10 pets with 60% kinetic and light armour. This is unacceptable and it needs sorting asap.

thanks to the search feature i found a rancor cave today. Nice. I got my first samples of youth rancor, mutant rancor, and singing mountain rancor dna.

I feel like ive finally lived.

At this point the creature is CL32 without armor, and CL40 with armor.
Fortitude is very very close to the 500 mark in all of this.

My notes go on for another 6 gens ending in 52 kinetic, 47 energy all others vuln, 320 damage, 2.4AS CL21 with light armor, stunning and intimidate.

I remember being very picky with the numbers on the DNA i was using. Had to use the highes fortitudes I could get for all 5 pieces.

I wouldn't suggest anyone make this pet. There's much easier ways to get the same aprox results. I musta burned a dozen or more BMBQ's playing with this.

Korbis, I'm interseted in seeing what the DNA samples look like for those two animals. As you can see in this thread (http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=bio-engineer&message.id=77754&highlight=light+armour) I took samples from my two creatures and then compared them. As you can see, they are pretty similar and yet the level dropped by 10 levels and not 8. What is interesting is that you have incorporated 2 resists instead of the one I used, which could explain the drop in CL difference. It maybe too early to draw conclusions but it looks like for every resist you add, it adds 2 to the creature level. If this is the case, then it should be thereotically possible to make a CL10 pet with light armour but all vulns

BioEngineer saved me from nerf and frustration hell.

Have been in game since Beta 3, one of my first toons was the awesome MCH, loved it, was having a blast, then the Pet Nerf hit, and hit hard, waaaaa, now my MCH is no fun, crap, did not have the heart to delect her, or retrain her. So made a MCM on another server instead, as you guessed it, MCM Nerf, waaaaa, so made that toon a Smuggler (nice combo with my MWS) then JTL came, so I dropped combat skills for MSW/MS/Reb Pilot, but guess what, I could not get beyond 3332 pilot and am having a heck of a time finding groups to help. So what do I do now?
Got out my MCH and dropped pistoleer and made her a MCH/BE(2242 so far) and am having a KILLA TIME with her. BE is so interesting that I have been playing her non-stop (except for harvester maintenance with MWS), it really added some interest in my game play. What fun!!!!

2 month update:

I am 98% complete on my template.

CH: X111 which is changing to CH XXX4 This way i will be able to pull 2 pets and train mounts.

I have successfully gotten Armor on a cl17. This is a rough estimate but here is how i think i did it.

I dont think i had to take the Gen3 clone down anymore with MH, but it was last weekend and i ran out of MH so i havent played with it sense. I would probably do alot better if i wrote down what i do huh. hehe

this resulted in a cl17 10kham, kin60 light armor woolymander with about 100+ dmg
this resulted in a cl19 10kham, kin60 light armor woolymander with about 160+ dmg
this resulted in a cl20 10kham, kin60 light armor woolymander with about -100 dmg

The order was from a Master CH that wanted HIGH Ham, Kin60, Light Armor, low dmg low cl so he could pull all 3 pets, use them as tanks on higher level creatures, im assuming krayts or kimos, i really didnt ask any questions, i just fill the orders.

Can anyone recommend an easier way of getting armor on cl20 and lower, because frankly, thats too much MH waste IMHO. I wish i could put a house outside of the King Merek Spawn point because it seems like i live there.

I sell the infamous uber cl10's in wholesale packages to Master CH's who train them as mounts and sell them in starports. I sell them for 25k and they get about 10-20 each a week so i dont think im driving any CH's out of business. If anything i hurt myself because i spend more time getting DNA than I do anything else and by selling them as cheap as i do, im by no means a millionaire. But then again, the only reason i created my Master Bio was because very few Bios on Gorath do pets and the one that i found that did charged 1 million per nonCh pet. So if any one on Gorath complains about bios not helping or ignoring users, just send them my way, i am saturating the market with pets of all CL's at affordable prices so no one suffors again.

I do custom orders for CH's when i can, but somedays you just cant get those darn MR's to give it up and I end up spending all my time at the caves. I have gotten 8 MR dna's in 30 mins, and ive had 3 hr sessions where i was lucky to get 1. I did manage a cl61 Rancor with 13k/11k/13k Kin 60 45 avg on the rest with 500+ dmg spd 2.0 and .66 yo hit and dizzy strike/ xxxx but i killed him trying to borrow some of his dna. Ive had a guy for weeks asking for a Kimo around that, but i havent had sufficient MR for it.

I got my first set of Young Malick(sp?) Plainswalker. Actually about 5 or 6 samples, that i managed when i stumblied across him while waylaying some Rancor Mobs. I havent used them yet, as i need to get some Rancor do mix with it. Any ideas?

I have put up a small site, that is still in the works at www.paladinsworld.com that your welcome to check the forums on if you need ideas or directions for recipes or getting help, or even if you would like to help in testing new ideas. I got them from the magical search feature on this site. I didnt post the uber cl0 recipe there because it so controversial, but its not like you cant get it here with some effort. I tried to give credit, i think i got it all.

I havent gotten much into pet stims or tissues which are the money makers. I have about 6-8 harvesters that bring in HQ Flora, but getting bone and meat on Gorath isnt the easiest thing to do considering the demand and the lack of effort by those who claim to hire out for the hunt. I would probably consider trading pets to other bio's for stims and tissues, this way i can provide on my vendors what i dont have, and then they can sell pets that they arent getting themselves.

I still think that at Master level with all the mask scent abilities and modifications, its rediculous at the rate that some of the smaller creatures detect your presence. Especially with the rate of failure and time consumption on dna sampling and testing, the least you could do is let us not get aggroed every 3rd sample by Butterflys. Ive got the scout MS, i wear a shirt and pant for the +25 MS bonus as well as drink jawa beer and sometimes i put on a bandelier but i dont think it helps. Corillian Butterfly Drones still detect me, its kind of sad. Not as sad as getting picked up in the Rancor Cave, but pretty sad.

I created a 4th account now, she is a Master Doctor as of last night. Her soul purpose in life is to sit in the Nexus Biologicial Research and Development Center and buff me when i want. She is also the owner of my vendors because the XP pts are tight, so for me to have my own vendor i had to use another account. Personally, i think every character should get at the least, a basic vendor capability, but apparently SOE doesnt.

Would anyone on Gorath be interested in going for some IBM's on endor or the the Spider cave that is rumored on this forum?

Basically, what I did was create a surefire way of getting it to <CL 20 - i would take three samples and then sell the pet. Then just do MH-MH-sample-sample-sample. If necessary, you substitute one of the samples for a sample of an animal you want the special of. A popular sample is servorrt, for the intimidation special.
