Thread: In search of the elusive useful CL10 pet
Here's the best I've done so far:
CL15
3478 Health
2132 Action
2993 Mind
No armor
Kinetic 49
Energy 8
1.96 Attack Speed
.25 to hit
140-150 dmg
Special 1: Knockdown
Special 2: Dizzy Strike
to be honest I think your search is in vain unless the non CH population changes its definition of useful. generaly they think of useful as a dammage shield. non CH are not soposed to have that. now if useful is a little distraction to pingpong agro in a fight thats doable but to be honesta good suit of 70+ kenetic ubese and master doc buffs goes further than an non CH pet now. now my 10k light armor 45ish kenetic and energy resist pet with decent attack is a good weapon. to be honest I'm more than happy to thumb my nose at the non CH that thought that they were soposed to have a criter that powerful without investing in the skills for it (mildly jaded CH here in case you hadnt noticed)
kinda sore about louseing most of my good wild pets but at least they gave me a way to replace them even if its less exciting than the old way.
That stupid beetle we got as trade in for a rock beetle is just plain crud, so anything better than that and I think most non-ch will be happy. Something like 2k average ham, lowish resist, and a special, should be doable should it not (I made a CL12 hermit spider with 3k ham, a few tweaks and maybe I can get a CL10).
It is possible to make CL 9 creatures after this last patch that have 6K-7K HAM. It is a pain in the butt to make but they are possible.. I sell them for 2M each..
With this new patch you can not regress the creatures the way you used to.. They have changed some of the resampling "issues" they had. But using the right dna from the right creatures will result in an OK mob.. Keep pluggin they are out there.
Realistically I can create level 10 pets with 1.5 to 2k of ham, 15 or so resist to kinetic and varied if at all resists to other stats. Expect a few vulnerables. Damage will rest low to increase ham. Have not been able to keep their damage close to 100 yet. But I've only been trying for a couple days. Regardless any pets with 6k ham from what I understand will get invalid and if CL generator is created will make all these 6k ham level 10's claimed to be made either higher level or invalid yet again.

yea I am sure of that.. But the problem is there is no way of knowing ANYTHING about the system now.. We can only surmise what the DEVS feel is reasonable and wanting.. I could just guess 2K limit.. And just stop working when the creature hits that. But on the other hand how do I know that is low enough.. They might feel anything about 900 is not reasonable and the CL check will not allow it to be called when they re-enact it.. So I just keep making them the best I can and when they finally make up thier minds as to what it is.. Post something about it or atleast make the REAL CL show through then maybe we can get down to some serious work on pushing the limits of the system again..
Until then. Remember DAMAGE LOW is the key.. 10-20 damage is not bad ![]()

This is a great start. Now sample from this pet. If you can get 3 good samples put them into Physique, Prowise, and aggresion. Add some low lv creature DNa into the other two slots, dwarf nuna, krettle, ect.
Experiment hardness, dex, and int up to close to 100, if you go over in one or two of the categories its ok, but try to kep the total of all 3 under 300. Don't exp in aggression. the final cone should be close to lv 10 with between 1.5 and 2K hame. It might get a higher level if the resists are still too high.
I pulled off some CL9 and 10's last night with around 2-3k HAM. I took all my reject CL16-28 AR0 pets that were in a bag and sampled them. Made the next batch and sampled them. Continued this about 4 times and ended up with to NonCH pets that suck compared to before but good for a post patch. One even had 36% Kinetic I think. Both have the wooping 30-40 DMG, but I think the way to make them is with piles of lower CL's and resample all night long.
2nd night drawing to a close and the quest continues. The plus side, no critical failures. I was able to significantly raise the HAM of my CL18 pets to around 7k but I wasn't able to break even the CL15 barrier with any of them. I am putting specific trash into slots 4,5 and also trying putting trash into 3,4 without success.
I am beginning to think that it is impossible to have a decent kinetic resist AR0 pet in this scenario. By decent I mean 40% or more.
Tomorrow, I'm going to try sampling my trash and then put 2nd gen trash into the mix. Perhaps if I really go low on damage 30-40 and forego the resists totally I'll unlock it.
At this point, I'd settle for a CL10 with no resists, no damage and ham of 3k. Pretty achievable goals from what some of the more tight lipped masters have stated they've accomplished, but out of reach so far.
Cheers-
Success! I just created a little dewback CL10:
2006 / 2491 / 1791 HAM
29% Kinetic
Vuln to everything else
2.49 Attack Speed
0.26 To Hit
30-40 Damage (a real killer)
Special2 Knockdown
Ranged = Yes
DNA Statistics are (High Quality): 113 / 111 / 142 / 246 / 107 / 108 / 755 / 17 / 103 / 38
Perhaps the problem is master's can't make them as good as non-masters? I made a 2k HAM (all the slots, mind was a little higher), with 38 Kinetic Resists, CL9 mount for myself before the big fix and fix of the fix out of grizzled dewbacks, first generation clone. The thingis, I was only at 0-1-1-0. Any time that I tried to make these afterwards, I would end up with significantly higher CLs. I'm guessing the quality of DNA that I used was too good. Maybe this was done to give the non-masters something marketable. I for one would have no problem leaving the market to the non-masters and focus on making the ultimate CH Pairs, Trios, and the one big bad mofo CL70( or CL63 as non-wookies still can't call the CL70s?).Has anyone tried making the non-ch with Low Quality or Very Low Quality (does that exist? been too long) DNA and seeing what the results were?
