I'd recommend posting on your server boards, as resource cost can vary hugely depending on how inflated the server is.

It's also good to find out what the resources you have are used for. This can effect how much you sell it for. For example, if you have a metal with high OQ and SR it might be good for armor and you might get a good price. If it is a high quality resource but what it is used for most doesn't have any experimentation (like clothing) then you won't get much for it.

In the course of making BECalc 2.0, I've been trying to get some sort of guideline on resource prices, but found there don't actually seem to be any out there. So I started trying to keep track of what things were selling for in various places (the Bazaar, various vendors and hawkers outside Coronet) on Ahazi and came up with the following list which may or may not interest people (This isn't a definitive list, just what resources BE's use. The pricing may also be out abit as I didn't bother taking too may samples to work each price out andgenerally went with the lowest price I could find, although I sometimes made a "guesstimate" for stuff I harvested myself).

If anyone feels anything is plain wrong, or even just a little out, pleasecomment on it )

It really varies from server to server, On Bria for instance with a good spawn of Dath Insect Meat it can go from 40cpu upwards.

Avian is upto 50-60cpu min and as much as 100cpu.

As for generic floras pretty much 5cpu across the board unless they have uber stats and will go up.

Again no definative price, its more or less a sellers market and they will hold out for 15+cpu.

Then again Bria's economy is so screwed I wouldnt Worry about us too much

Would it not be easier just to allow those that use your great program, to input what price they want? If I am making a certain item, let me put in the price for the ingredients per unit then let it kick out the rest - individual price, price per crate, cost per item, cost per crate (perhaps have it set so I know what profit margin i am making?) what I payed for the resources and what I charge for it.

Just an idea.

Last time I made an attempt to compile some pricing data for the community I got slammed for it, lol, so I won't go there again. What I would suggest is going into, I believe it is the ranger forum (could be the scout forum) and using their resource pricing guide (yes, they have one, imagine that). Yes, there will be server by server differences, but it offers you a nice place to start.

Peoplecan enter their own prices (thats already in and working), but one thing I found with BECalc 1.0 was that peopletended to stick with the defaults (even though they were only rough approximations on my part).I ended up redoing the default valuesina later version cause the 1.0 defaults were so high. That being the case, I'd like to have the defaults close to, or a tad under, the average for all servers to try and avoid that again.

100 cpu is nothing. We recently had Naboo avian meat selling for 200 cpu. It's crazy.

And this is why the rangers just won't work with BE's anymore. They try to charge us like that by using the rationale "well, I coulda been hunting for avian instead of your dath insect or whatever" and next thing you know they've priced themselves out of our ability to pay them.
