What are the best flora and water resources to use? And what planet can they be found on the Chilastra server?

Also, in the chef profession, is wheat still more used than any other cereal?

I can't say which planet has the best, check the quality levels of the resource, and yes wheat, lots and lots of wheat

Both SWGcraft.com and SWGcenter.com have good databases on resources.
Both of them require player input to keep current.
The 5-8 day cycle on resources make finding good spots to collect stuff an eternal chore.

If you were on Scylla I would be happy to point out some good places (except for Dom Wheat....I lost that one last night)

Sharing info is the key. I think we are the only class that really cares about flora resources, so it's up to us.

Yeah, I can examine them, but I can't find out any quality information until I kill one of them. Fair enough though about the whole quality business. Guess it takes a lot more than just mastering bioengineer to be a good one. Working on my surveying skills as I type... sigh.... boredom....

After scanning through the bazaars, I've made a list of what seems to be the best resources that I could see for bioengineering tissues. One problem is, that I have absolutely no idea what creatures these meats come from. I'd be much obliged to the BE community and the Ranger community if they could tell me where to get these meats.
The ones I have seen are:

Avian Meat

Vyle (Naboo)

Estid (Talus)

Reptilian Meat

Rhaco (Tatooine)

Akess (Lok)

Herbivore Meat

Arieploi (Naboo)

Carnivore Meat

Tergo (Tatooine)

Iattea (Corellia)

Igetrau (Naboo)

Domesticated Meat

Gidek (Correlia)

Wild Meat

Taicierech (Tatooine)

Pese (Tatooine)

Insect Meat

Ekko (Dathomir)

Ibiha (Corellia)

Iviofeug (Naboo)

If anyone knows any other 900+ OQ meats, please add to the list!

Also, does anyone know a good scaley hide? I couldn't find any 900+ OQ at all.

Thanks for your help all!

Well, you can use www.swgcreatures.com to locate the creatures that drop those general type of resources (ie. Corellian Insect Meat).

However, since resources shift and are specific to your server, the specific resources you named may no longer exist.

All resources change roughlyevery2 weeks, the database is huge so you're highly unlikely to ever see the same resource appear twice within the course of a year on any single server. I think one of the devs mentioned a while ago that the databases should be starting to be repeating some materials now though which have appeared before. Animal resources take longer to switch than inorganics and organic ones which you gather with extractors though so it's best to grab the good ones as they appear.

Animal resources are listed with planet names if you look:

Avian Meat - anything which looks like a bird usually

Vyle (Naboo) - so on naboo thats nuna, peko, kaadu

Estid (Talus) - i don't spend much time on talus so im not sure what avien species is there

But you're a BE so you can see what animals give what types of resources when you examine them anyway.

Hi, ive been playing for over a month and have sampled many chemicals to try and get the best for crafting certain things. Yet one item has be really confused.

The Crafting Tools you can create need a chemical resource yet i have unable to find any chemical that gives a change in its stats. When i craft weapons and the like i get either a red, orange or green bar next to the Slot where the resource goes, i dont get this with chemicals i use for the Crafting Tools. Does any one know of a good Chemical to use for the tools?

When you get a black bar that means either that resource slot will never count for anything towards crafting, or it means you are using one that just doesnt.. for example in havesters for archietect, they can use fiberplast, or polymere and have there stats count towards the exp, or use lub oil which wont.

with that in mind they generally use lub oil cuase 99% of the time the poly, or fiber will only hurt there exp.. where lub oil will not.

Now on to your Q, crafting tools only rely on con to control thre exp,, soo chems no matter what you use wont have that stat hence getting a black bar.. soo just find your self the highest con copper you can and use any chem you can find and you will make a nice tool

Ah...explains a lot thanks. I found some really good copper....Kelsh - Iguame i think but i bought 1k of it on the bazaar, i havnt been ale to find it oridnaraly and ive not found any in my time on Galaxies.....and the Chem i use for weapons appears to have dissapeared as well lol. Thanks for the answer its been driving me nuts.

The xp you get from resources while crafting? You get more the higher the bar next to the slots yes?

Yes that is correct.. give the stickys a read at the top of the page,, CHeck out the newly added artisan grind one, there are some great times, from a few difference posters here.. it will help you out a lot, its under the top sticky, helpfull guides, and faq or what ever

welcome to the world of crafting, those stickys have lots of good info, and if you ever get stuck dont be afraid to ask
