Thread: Level 10 pets... how?
i disagree with makin uber cl10 pets as something that powerful should be used by someone trained in the art creature handling. nonetheless, this is gonna be me giving you the information, up to you to make up your mind.
i am yet to actually try this but it involves using strong DNA (such as mutant rancor, bark mite burrower queen, merek harvester etc etc) and combining it with dna that has vulnerabilities to many attack types. This will cause the pet to have a low level but still have some traits of the higher dna. You then resample this DNA and use it in the slot you intended it for. So, if you used the mutant rancor DNA in agression then put this new DNA in the agression slot. You then do it again. Eventually, you will wittle it down to a pet that has high abilities and a low level.
However, the devs consider these pets 'illegal' and dont like the way that BE's can make these pets (even tho they have tried twice to remove it from the game). You will often find that when you then tame the pet, then its level with shoot over CL10. But thats just the risk you take imo.
Check out the faq at the top for detailed information on the formulas that determine how each resist is calculated, and what exactly each slot of DNA affects. Experiment around, then once you get the hang of the system its pretty easy to make just about anything you want fairly quickly. www.swgcreatures.com is an extremely valuable site for seaching for specific resist combinations or specials.
Edited for repeatedly screwing up the link

An excellent place to check, and discuss ideas is swgbe.mmopsy.com - Star Wars Bio Engineer. It's a great site, and once you have your head around the sampling ideas, has a variety of both recipies (with and without experimentation details) and starting points.
Well worth a check!

Hello, I am a new BE, currently 4434 and hopefully Master by tonight or tomorrow. I have searched for topics related to this but I couldnt find exaclty what I was looking for. My question is how do I make a pet a CL 10 or lower? I have yet to do it so far. I am a TKM so I can pretty much kill and creature I need to for DNA. Could someone please explain how to do this, or possibly point me to a link with some info on this? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
Here is the recipe for an uber CL10 pet:

Well its me once again.
On my quest to do the best lvl24 pet for my personal use, I fell over another uber lvl10 pet:
lvl10, 9832H / 5291A / 3298M, 59%Kin 44%Blast Vulnerable Rest, AS: 1.98, TH: 0.22, D: 120-130, S1: Crippling Strike, S2: Intimidation, R: No.
I was able to reproduce this pet several times.
I collected several lower level Mobs to Stack Vulnerabilities for my Tank pet. In this case I used:
Greater Sludge Panther, Greater Sludge Panther, Kima, Savage GufDrolg, Kima. I maxxed Physique and Psychology.
For second Generation I used:
Merek Harvester, Merek Harvester, 3x 1st Gen Clone, maximizing Physique and Psychology again.
Results see above.
For third Generation I used the same formular as second Generation, just with the second Gen Clone DNA, maximizing Physiqu and Psychology again for following Result:
lvl21, 10963H / 5829A / 3586M, AR1, 60%Kin 5%Blast Vul Rest, AS: 1.98, TH: 0.22, D: 130-140, S1: Crippling Strike, S2: Intimidation, R: No
Hey guys,
I would just like to say that the recipe isn't very reliable...I followed the directions completely and accurately andout of 8 tries it never came out to be level 10 (It took about 3-5 hours of work to get all the rightDNA so it' was incredibly frustrating).
They were all CL11-15 and EVEN when I sampled down the level 11 and recombined...it Still came out as a level 11. I was/am pretty baffled, but do you think maybe they stealth nerfed (/fixed) it? hmm
I've never used that particular recipe but I know the one I've used in the past for 9k Health 60 KR non ch pets doesn't get to cl10 anymore still does make awsome cl20-23 though(how I found it in the first place).
So unless someone says they still make them regularly I would say they fixed part of it anyway.

The problem with any pet recipe, that all BE need to be aware of, is that the DNA stats on the DNA you sample are going to vary from one creature to the next.
For example, you find a GSP liar. You sample one creature 5 times then it dies... you sample another GSP 5 times before it dies... repeat this 3 more times...
Now compare the DNA stats from the different GSP. What do you find?
You should notice that not only are there small variation in the samples that came from the same GSP, but there can be significant variations from DNA samples that came from different GSPs!!!!
It is very important, especiallywhen making multi-gen pets, to always use DNA on the low end of the stat spectrumwhen it comes to the primary and secondary stats in the corresponding DNA template slots.
So, finding a creature to sample and collecting its DNA is only half of the job... You got to know what samples to use and where to put them. Otherwise, when trying for a specific CL, you wont get realible results.
I was helping some BE with the Dasher/pup CL10 variation not to long ago. He kept telling me that everytime he made one it almost always came out CL11 or higher even though he followed my directions to a "t".
I asked him if he was using Dasher DNA witha hardniness of550 or greater in the phy slot... Turned out that was the prob. I reminded him that is is critical that he use Dasher DNA that has a hardiness LESS THEN 550.. otherwise when you exp the phy it will push the primary/secondary to high thus creating a CL11 everytime.
As far as the recipe that I posted, I can make a first gen pet using the Harvestor/Picket/hatchlings that comes out as low as CL13... It all comes down to the DNA folks
Hope this helps
