The title says it all. what is the lowest lvl you have gotten a creature down to with armor? And what dna did you use? I can't seemto go below 35 myself.

HMMmmm never really tried to make creatures outside the "twins" range with armor... 33 is the lowest pet I made with armor.

I suppose with some multi-gen sampling, the merek/BMB combo could probably create an AR1 60% kinetic under CL30 pet...

I've seen other BE make good clones with armor as low as CL19... but to me I like no armor and VULNs in triplets since I generally market my triplet combos for PvP rather then PvE... As I've said a million times, you dont want armor or many res for a PvP pet

I guess there is always the nub CHers who want a good low level pet to level with... However they usually arent willing to pay my price

My lowerst was 21 with Armour and 60% Kinetic.

As for the no armour and vulns in PvP pets - I guess it comes down to giving the customer what they want, not what they need

Yeah, that last part tends to irritate me when it comes to customers... I basically gave up trying to explain to people why they dont want armor and res in PvP... I just tell them to go bug Arthur.... Poor Arthur... I sentso manypain in thea$$ customers his way I'm probably going to BE hell

Most PvP weapons are armour piercing to some extent or another.
What this means is that they get a damage bonus for any armour rating below the armour piercing rating of their weapon.
My understanding of it is that you want armour but not resists (but I'm no PvP expert)
anyway, a T21 is AR3, so against AR1 it should have a 75% damage bonus - resists, so a T21 against maxed resists would still have a damage bonus.
However if you make the resist vulnerable, there is no damage bonus. Not sure if this is a bug or intended, but thats the way the system works right now.
So for kinetic and energy resists which are capped at 60% they are better vulnerable than having resists

made a CL14 with light armour and 60% kinetic, but its ham was horrible something like 8k / 2k / 4k or something like that

was made with merek harvester DNA mostly, and i think i added ablooming jaxDNA in somewhere in one of the generations

I dont make creatures this low as a standard tho, this was during my experimentation phases when i first started creating creatures after discovering the merek harvester statics

Hmm you come out a little better with the 60% Kin as there is no AR3 Kin damage as far as I know.

Short version:

AR weapon bug

In PvP an unarmored pet with a vuln takes only normal damage no matter what the AR of a weapon is.

When attacked by an AR1 or greater weapon this is equal to having a pet with armor and no vulns.

Once you add armor **OR** a RES the AR effect of weapons "works as indended".

Now:

Unarmored pets with a RES will take a damage bonus when hit by an AR1, an increased damage bonus with an AR2, and an even further increased damage bonus with an AR3.

Armored pets have their armored nulled by the AR1s, suffer a damage bonus with an AR2, and an increased damage bonus with an AR3.

Now, no matter what you do your pet is going down. Pets are no match against a skilled PvPer who will ignore it and kill the owner before butchering the pet.

Pets only advantage in PvP is they can land specials like intimidate (reduces damage your oponent does), posture down, KD, and Dizzy.

All you want is your pets to live long enough to land em.

Pets without armor andVULNs in every area that has a corresponding AR1-3 weapon will, overall, buy you the most time in most situations.

Since you loaded the pet with VULNs you can spend more effort in adding higher HAM, higher to-hit,faster attack speed, and maxing out damage (though the latter is useless against buffed and armored foes).

Could an armored pet do better in certain situations? Yes. But the unarmored with VULNs will be more of an "all around pet".

That may be (dont want to do the math in the morning so I'll take your word on it )

BUT

While your pet might live a few secs longer against a TKM, that master riflemen is going to mow it down in under 3 secs with his/her t21.

Again, in certain situations an armored pet could do better... but what you want to do is make a pet that is going to be "all purpose" as in PvP, unless it is a dual, you're going to have a lot of potential weapons shooting at it.

Add ontop of that, in trios, no armor means you can just about max out everything else... I've made CL16 pets with 400 damage and 10k hams with .3 to .4 to-hits and attack speeds of 1.98

That pet might even do better as opposed to a armored 60% pet with lower hams being attacked in a dual with a AR1 or AR2 weapon. Not only the hams, but because intimidate (if that was one of the specials) could land more often if the pet has a fast attack speed and good to-hit...

Again, to early to do math

But I do know, overall, the unarmored pets in PvP have a longer "life span".... not by much though

Yes with no damage mitigation they don't live very long I just tried to make my PvP pets with 60% Kin no armor and no other resists.
