I've had a lot of fun with Bio Engineer but I'm finding it a little annoying to deal with most customers. My may area of annoyance is non or low level CH who want uber pets. I made the mistake of making a non-ch vermook with 7K HAM and since then everyone wants one of these pets which is a rarity to create but still I get constant /tells from people requesting either a 8k HAM non ch pet or a CH lvl 15 rancor or Kimo.
The problem isn't saying no, its when they ask me to explain it and go through all the formula's for why this isn't possible. It wouldnt be so much of a problem if I didn't get 10 /tells every few hours asking for an explanation. Does anyone else run into this problem?

I've made a 'standard letter' which is basically a FAQ about BE's for non-BE's. I mail that to people who ask those sort of questions

I know what you mean...I get novice CHs sending me /tell or emails asking if I want to grind through BE and make them crap pets that they can tame and teach...and the funny part is, I have my MBE tag up almost always (not for uber pets, but for AP for the novices on my server)...Or I'll get a tell saying they want a CL 15-25 and want it NOW...I response and tell them to find someone else cause I'm not going to even bother trying to collect DNAthat low.

i know what you mean.. i get alot of tells requesting uber cl 10 pets:/ but i keep on telling them i dont waste my time with non cl pets... and i dont make pets that i dont use aka non cl pets

The worst kinds of customers are ones like me, who come to the forum and research what can and can't be done, then send you an order for an entirely possible, yet extremely complicated and difficult pet, and offer exorbinant amounts of credits for you to do it

Lol, but at least your stupidly hard pet is possible and you can also probably at least give the MBE some information on how to start the evil criter

Nah, those that ask for the impossible are easy to blow off, its impossible after all, no sense even considering. People like me, well you could take my order... but it would be the most challanging order of your life, and each pet could easily take 8-10 hours of sampling, crafting, generational engineering, getting a few morewild samples, and the ever present threat of a crit fail... Is any amount of credits worth that?

A well i am MBE on Far Star ... seems as if people really love strong pets.
My biggest problem is not that they want something too high, but rather that they dont have any idea what they want to do with their pets, and therefore dont really know how the pet needs to be.
You know like hunting pets which need just kinetic res and ham..... in opposition to pvp pets who need energy too and have lower HAM due to this.
Well what really annoys me is that you have to pull it out of each customer again.....

I simply don't take special orders anymore and I stopped hanging the "MBE" sign above my head a few months ago. I can't/won't keep up with all the crazy orders, demands, annoying questions, etc. and that's why I stopped advertising or making it known that I'm an MBE. If you want a good consistent money supply, you couldjust make pet stim b's and c's and you wont have to worry about that aspect of your gaming life anymore. When I make pets, it's at my own pace and then I just put them up in my vendor and they go pretty fast anyway. This is howI continue to have fun.

The tells are insane. I'm not even taking custom orders any longer. Now, I clone when I bloody well feel like it. It's much less stressful.

Ah the blessed quiet provided by having non alpha/numeric charactersin your name. I had some one come up to me 2 days ago saying they couldn't send me a tell. They then proceeded to ask me all the dumb questions your refering to. I checked with them to see why tell didn't work for them. Apparently the people who ask these questions aren't bright enough to get the tell command to me to work correctly. No wonder things have been so much easier for me. I get a few requests from knowledgeablecustomers and my guild mates who are all great. No pesky 10K HAM non-CH requests though.

Oh, then when I was on Rori one day, about three weeks ago, I got this from somebody who ran by and saw me waiting for the shuttle...
