Hold a Flamethrower Master Marksman pre-req is a giveaway for non-master bh's. Who would use a flamethrower but a commando? /evilgrin

On #1. After you are sure they are online remove them from your friends list. If you don't and they spot you or are warned by others they can add you to their friendslist and track you using /findfriend.

1. critical failures. Why does these happen so often? I am crafting soypro and it seems to fail ever 10th try or so. How can I reduce these?

2. What does the 14 on the crafting tool really mean? What about the 42 on crafting station?

3. What is a 12 point chef? While grinding is it worth buying the chef apron?

1) You mean at assembly? Well you don't have much +Assembly bonus yet, it will get less later at Master, but you'll still fail sometimes (usually in the worst moments )
2) its a bonus you get. Noone really knows how much a difference it makes, but +15 on Tools is max, and +45 on stations, so what you're using is quite good stuff
3) At Master you have 10 experimentation points available (+100 Food Experimentation=10 Exp points). You're a 10 point chef then. Once you get +20 Food Experimentation with skilltapes on your clothes you have 12 exp points, ergo you're a 12 point chef then (+110 is 11 pts)
3b) If you can get a Chef Apron (actually its a "Crafter Apron" theres aslo a "Chef Apron" made by tailors, but that one doesn't offer any bonus) cheap already, it doesn't hurt you. Will help you to have less critical fails but thats all it does during the grind, but since you'll need it at one point anyway, you can get it now already

i had a potential customer ask me some questions i was not quite sure about the answer for, so i will list them here and see if you knowledgeable people can answer them for me.

1) do probots need a combat module for fighting?

2) the more combat modules in a droid make it hit harder?

i am just starting out in the wonderful (if a tad fustrating) profession of a droid engineer so any advice will also be welcome (besides 'get a new profession' :robottongue

1. No, but if they don't have one they will do 1 damage per hit.

2. Yes, more combat modules = more damage.

OK so im quite new to commando but so far out of all the profs i tried this has gotta be the best.

Looking at the CU i got some questions...

Flame is now only AOE cone attack?

Makes it kinda redundant now then...? sob...

the new weapons look cool and i love the old ones so the newer ones are just gonna make me love it more.

From what i can pick up - launcher u can use pistol special for but thought for flame and HAR had to have rifleman to use specials or am i wrong?

So for us to be effective gotta have marksman - rifleman and pistoleer now? otherwise no specials?

We just don't know yet mate... i studied the commando tree in detail... was almost amazed when i saw heavy weapons defence LOL commando and defence??? am i seeing things hehe.. but to tell you the truth.. so little as been told to us that without testing it ourselves we just won't know. I'm on TC-CU testing medic and marksman (gona get the unarmed line so when eilte proffs are unlocked i'll be ready to start commando right away)

If you want we can grind it together... no better way to know then to see it and try it for yourself.

Otherwise contact me ingame for any info you need.

two things ^_^

read the faq

do a forum search

but on with the answer:

  • what is you cl? I believe you are cert'd to the e11 rifle or the dxr6b. You also should be able to use a basic laser rifle, spraystick. You are just shy of the tuskan (which is currently bugged and cert'd master commando....must get that fixed)

  • Cover / Snipershot /Concealshot are bugged - to get around the issue find flat land (say a porch or a road) and use that as the firing platform.
