No, you won't be able to buff or heal a rebel or imperial player that has a TEF or is Overt.

got a ?.
i am grinding my FS xp by maxing out my rifle xp. i am a rifle doc. i am only one branch from unlocking.
my question is this...
once i have filled my 6 branches. i then go to then shrine to start my padawan trials. they say you cant gain any other xp cept jedi xp when u go padawan. but it seems that if you are master tk while grinding your jedi xp... it is very beneficial for you. so with that being said... before i go to the shrine and start the padawan trials should i drop my master rifle and go master tk to use while i am a jedi?
seems like i couldnt change from master rifle to tk once i am a padawan. so i should try and do it before i am a padawan.
anyone help here?

with master rifle + feign death (I cannot stress enough howusefull this skill can be) and medic 2.0.2.0
and the 6 branches in FS you still have 55 points to spend in the jedi three.
Id say keep it - and start dropping the middle branches in rifle as you need more free points.
Id keep feign death as the last skill to drop........
The down side - is that you dont get the meditation line in tka - but as long as you dont plan on killing posion/deases mobs that wouldnt be a bad trade off

thats a tough one...if you have fr1 with master rifle, BH are toast (especially if you already have good rifles) if you get fr2 with rifle, you are a kiting GOD because the damage reduction ONLY applies to lightsabers

last week, i couldn't connect to swg at all. it also took alot of time just to scan the files, so a friend suggested i reinstall. when i did, it kept crashing. i was wondering if maybe my disk is scratched, or my comp is just whacked, and what i can do about it.

Try running the windows Chdisk util to check for corrupt files, I had a similar problem with swg some time ago, It was caused by a corrupt Texture file, Chdisk fixed it.

try to make a full instalation from another set of disks - I hope you have a fast connection, otherwise it may take a lot of time to get all the patches
as for the connectivity problems... I assume that you were able to play normally until last week? did you do any software update around that time -like a driver update or a Microsoft patch?

well i my computer fixed... it had fried itself, but for a few days after i was able to play normal. it started this past weekend with the data center thing. and i've tried 2 sets of disks, and they both gave me the same prob. so i'll try that chdisk thing, is it in the start menu? lmao

You need to right click on your C drive (as long as thats where you installed SWG) then goto the tools tab, you'll find checkdisk there.
Doing a defrag wouldn't hurt either, if it's taking ages to scan files it could be a symptom of a badly fragmented hard drive.

Anyone have ne ideas? Or is it really necessary to master the profession of combat medic at all?

All depends on what you want. Most combat professions are not friendly to "dabbling" so you'll want to master it. Same with crafting professions. Honestly, doc and CM are too of the most "dabble-friendly" professions (besides BH of course).
Master CM does get bonuses over a 4/0/0/4 CM...but not THAT significant, especially if you can buy your supplies from an excellent crafter. :/ That coupled with 0/4/4/0 doctor, still leaves you with quite a few skill points left...perhaps for master of a ranged profession (too lazy to do the math myself).
