Sooo... we suggest you don't go on vacation until the next big patch is dropped and changes that.

Hi all,

Please forgive me if this questionhas been posted at any point in time. I am interested in becoming a CH. I found a trainer and she said to see her after I completed Exlpore 4 or Hunting 4. I have been trained on Hunting 4 but the Trainer continues to say that I need Explore 4 or Hunting 4. Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Kellwyn

It's simple you just need both Huntin IV and Explore IV to get Novice CH.

Sorry, for this perhaps stupid question.

I am pretty new to SWG;I chose marksman in character creation but I'd like to become also an architect.

What is the first thing to do? Since I chose marksman I don't have the newbie crafter stuff...Can you just tell me what stuff I need, what skills I should aquire and what I should do first...

Thanks.

The Architect path starts ith the Artisan tree, specifically up the engeneering path, but you are also going to need good surveying skills.

The choice is yours, I started as an Architect but thengot Marksman skills on day one and worked on some of that first.

Yeah, ok thanksfor that info.

But I don't know anything about crafting. I bought a survey device but it said I didn't have the skill for it. If I had chosen crafter in char creation I'm sure I could've figured it out but now I don't know **edit** what to do...

If anyone could just tell me the first few steps.

Ok, so the first things is Artisan: I guess I should go out surveying, but what do I need and what skill do I need to have and where do I get that skill? From other players, or npc?

Sorry, I might be retarded for asking this but I really have no clue.....

Did you train Artisan yet? If not, find an Artisan trainer (I think every city has one). It costs 100 credits. Once you've done that, put your survey tool in a quick slot (there are a variety of survey tools, btw) and click on it. It will give you a choice of things to survey for. Choose one that has a high percentage in your area and then type /sample (or find the icon on the Ctrl A list and put it in a quick slot). You will kneel and begin sampling (which is basically mining with no tools) for that resource.

Use a mineral survey tool and find yourself some metal to sample. Get a good quantity, then use a chemical survey tool and do the same for fiberplast. Once you have a good supply, use your Generic crafting tool and make crafting tools (you can use practice mode) for artisan xp.

You're on your way. Once you've gotten Engineer IV trained (the left side of the Artisan skill tree) you can continue crafting until you have enough xp to train Novice Architect.

Artisan xp is calculated at 2 xp for every unit of resource you use.

Good luck.

I apoligize ahead if this has been answered before, i'm a noob and non artisan, but i'm just curious if surveying tools have a qualityrating or how can i tell which one better than the other one, or areall chemical (e.g mineral) surveying tools all the same as far as perfomance?
