Yup, I'm a 12-pointer, so I feel I HAVE to put them in medical R3's.

I was trying to make some armorweave segments today and the assembly would either be great success or amazing success, but when I got to the experimentation screen I crafted about 50 segments in a row with nothing over moderate success. Now I typically throw all my experimentation points in at once and click experiment and just hope for the best, but it just wasnt working. I was experimenting on Quality and then tried the bottom line (protection?) and it worked like I expected. So I looked at the segment after assembly and noticed that with average resources I was getting the quality at about 10%, with high quality getting about 19%-22%, and it did the same either way. So then I tried just experimenting one box ata time and I managed to get expected results. I upped it to two boxes and three boxes at a time and then got the same failures.
Basically, I am new to AS but a long time crafter and I never seen this happen so many times in one hour. I guess my question is...When assembly puts % below a certain number do you have to crawl your way out of that until you can do a full experimentation on it? Could this be a bug with my tools/station? Am I just unlucky?

Days like that, I just stop for the night. There is no real reason exp does what it does sometimes.
I've noticed the same thing last time I did armorweave segements, but when I was grinding to get MAS, it never happened. The quality of my resources were the same too.
If your not grinding, just try again another night.

How far along are you into the experimentation line of AS? This sounds similar to whatwas happening to me while experimenting on meds when I only had like 4 points to work with.

Well not exactly sure how many points I have, but I am 4/4/2/4 AS so that is four boxes in experimentation.

Thanks. A group of my friends and I reactivated and we know alot has changed, so we're trying to catch up and figure out why things are behaving differently in certain cases, thanks again!

Depending on when you stopped playing before, it may be that a LOT has changed. You might want to read through the FAQ at the top here to get some overviews. Some highlights:
- we can experiment on harvester extraction rate and hopper size now, so that's a big factor in the harvester business
- we can make a bunch of new lamps and candles
- we can make city structures (e.g., City Hall, Cantina, Shuttleport, etc)

How do you chefs normally experiment on your foods? Do you do them in large sets using multiple points at the same time? IE: 5-7 points at one time, or 1-2 points at one time. Is there any benefit from using multiple points in the same experiment?
