Doccumentation would be extremely nice, however, I'm already to the point that I don't care.

Less than 2 days after the patch and I have become frustrated enough to drop my Master CH abilities. I am not taking any more creature orders, and from now on I am specializing in Tailoring tissues.

The hassles this patch has created are not worth the time. From what I have seen you have to be far too specialized in scouting now in order to get close and sample the necessary creatures to get good DNA (and even then the DNA sucks, Rancor DNA should have stats above 500). Even if you can sneak up on a Kimogilla, you still can't take DNA samples from them (you will always get the Unsuccessful result).

This patch was a nerf, as well as an aggrivation. Thank you, Sony, for helping me decide to change one of my master professions.

I'm almost there, Kittakat. The few things I can make without darn near giving myself an embollism from frustration aren't worth it. I think I'll make up a few crates of really good tissue, get a good cross-section of clothes made from them, and go do something that actually works as intended, because what's intended is a known quantity. And maybe hoard some crates of pet stims, in case I ever bother having a pet.

The CL level of the creature donating the DNA does not determine the CL level of the final creature. The CL of the donating creature determiens teh quality of the DNA that you do see, including any specials that are present. Also, I haev crafted creatures with 2 special attacks adn ranged, and was able to see all of this in teh creature in my datapad. Further, to get armor, I have noticed that you can get it with as little as 2 samples, I also have seen it will not appear until physique is over 50%. So Experiment in physique and see if I am right. Prowess may also affect light armor appearing. So the above complaints or bugs are not bugs, just misunderstandings of the changes. I have noticed no bugs in the system at all. Also the final CL level is determined by HAM, you want lower HAM, sample poor DNA.

I have used HQ DNA all with light armor and still not gotten and armor on the final product. I would think this is a bug as we cannnot make creatures with armor like this. Do the samples all need to have MED armor to get light armor in the final template. If this is the case we have a real problem!

MBE + random other classes as I see fit thru the months.
If your on eclipse and need a hand or just a new pet to keep you company just ask, I'm more than happy to help where I can.

So you can get 600 stat DNA from a CL8 creature?

The answer of course is no (other than dependability and sometimes endurance). The CL of the donor determines the stats of the DNA which in turn determines the CL of the clone. You're talking around in circles by saying the CL of the donor does't determine the CL of the clone.

The bigger problem, by far, is that the DNA Template never gives you a CL rating. This leaves us guessing as to what our final product is going to be. I want a CL40 clone.... hrm do I experiment this 1 more time or do I leave it be? You can't answer that question until you put the DNA template into the clone.

Related at least kinda sorta to us.... I've been having non-social creatures gang up on me when aggro'n from DNA sampling. It doens't happen all the time, but I've had a full nest of normally non-social creatures ALL attack me 3 times tonight when getting an "attack" result from a DNA sample.

I have made 2 voritor slinkers, 3 voritor hunters and have mixed hunter DNA with some surefoot brackaset and ive still yet to get any of them with an armour rating. This is despite using nothing but very high quality DNA and even creating nothing but a DNA template out of voritor DNA!

Sorry if this has been addressed already, but im still on page one of this post.

If your a low level BE i doubt you'll be able to get Armor to stick, you will need at least a +40 in experimentation.

This is how i have found that the armor ratings work.

In this example im using 5 identical samples Light armor 60% kinetic 5% to the rest.

After the combine, i end up with NO ARMOR 60% kinetic 5% to the rest.
Spend ONE experimation point in physique and end up with NO ARMOR 60% kinetic 10% to the rest, next pt in physique results in NO ARMOR 60% kinetic 15% to the rest, next point NO ARMOR 60% kinetic 20% to the rest, this keeps up until i hit NO ARMOR 60% kinetic 45% to the rest. next point spend will bring me to LIGHT ARMOR 60% kinetic 5% to the rest.

The number of experimention pts you'll need to use to get the light armor will depend on the quality of samples used. For me it usually only takes 2 xp points.

Bug or feature, you decide. I like how this works, makes it easier to make a lower leveled pet with decent resists.

bugs/issues i've found

Even when i have equal percents to all 5 slots. My action comes out a lot lower than everything else. (Psych adding a bit to mind, and aggression adding a bit to health may be the cause.)

Pre-Patch clones show as Level ZERO when tamed and as they grow. Not sure about when they hit full growth.

I am also a MCH so i create/tame my own pets and can have three out at once. I can pull out 3 POST-PATCH bioengineered pets at the same time that current level totals WAY over 70.

Post-Patch clones even when half grown, if examined by a ranger show as creature level ONE and don't list the special attacks.

Special Attacks don't seem to work, not sure about wild tamed creatures, but i cant get my BE pets to use their specials.

Maskscent sucks now. Before the patch i could (with my enhanced clothing) walk up to a Mutant Rancor. Now i can't get within 15m of them 95% of the time. NO problems with rancor, bull rancor or youth rancor. Broodling gaping spiders break my mask scent and i can kill them with one shot(note that i dont have much for weapon skills).

It seems that Low level BE's can make super good lowlevel creatures. I believe this to be do to the fact that their dna samples are lower than high quality which seems to lower the creature level but not so much on the HAMS.

High Quality DNA seems to yield better results than Very High Quality.

I had thought that the creature level was listed on DNA samples when this system went to the test server. I must have been wanting that so bad I imagined it.

some documentation would be nice. I have been able to get slightly higher resists than the original dna , but i have absolutely no idea how i did it.

Kinetic is limited to 60% whether it ends up with light armor or not. I would think non armored would be allowed a bit more resist. Haven't noticed any limitations to the other resistances.

If we arent going to be allowed to experiment on final assembly, i'd like to see the actual HAM stats listed on the generic template. Or maybe allow us to experiment on final assembly to equalize the HAM stats.

Overall this has been the most fun I've had in quite some time and even though there are still quite a few bugs, its come out a lot better than i was expecting.

I made a lvl 10 Woolamander. I was able to tame it and call it, but I couldn't trade it to a non-ch. I tried with 3 people and each time it said they had too many pets in their datapad. One of them had no other pets and only 1 droid and 1 vehicles. I was able to give them a lvl 10 gurreck I had made with similar stats, but not the Woolamander.

I got a BE kima from a friend that was colored orange. I tamed it and pulled it out to train it and it had be restored to default colors. It's too bad, that orange looked pretty good on the kima's horns.

I created a CL 9 creature that once tamed could not be traded or transferred to anyone (he knew the Transfer command, though it shouldn't have been necessary).

On my side I would get the message 'That person has too many pets'. The recipient would get the message 'Too many pets in this container'.

We could and did freely transfer other non-CH pets back and forth, just not this particular crafted pet.

Can I get an edit button in my stocking for Life Day? I've been a good Wookiee.

'he knew the transfer command' would have been more clear if I typed 'the pet was trained in the transfer command'. The creature, not the recipient
