I haven't worn armor in over a year. It's seems counter to how I see a ranger...I mean running around the wilderness clanking and knocking and such. Not to mention the decreased visibility, hearing, and smellingwhile wearing a helmet.
And, since I'm a Wook, I don't have much of a choice anyway. So, I stopped wearing armor. Sure, I die a bit more, not much though because my attack style has changed- I'm very cautious now and carefully plan an attack if I'm soloing a hard mob.
But hey, that's just me. ![]()
My guild had a great uniform for awhile that I keep handy. It's the Wanderhome Antarian Rangers Green and White.
If I'm not wearing that I wear a cheap suit of pretty worthless armor that I think matches my style - I don't wear the helmet with it.
Tend to wear Black Padded chest and leggings with Green Katarn for the rest until it wears out. Casually I just take off the biceps and helmet and I look great. Though if I'm doing BH stuff I tend to wear my green suit of Composite with a Chitin Helmet because it has 7k kinetic and 6k resists compared to my 5800 katarn and 6k padded. Underneath I always wear a black undershirt with +10 mask and 10+ camo mods from way back when.
I've got too much armor, really, even my RIS is stored in my house since I don't have the need to change into it from my ArmorBot whenever I want to. Good way to keep a second suit on me though, seeing as I store my assault armor in there.
It's pretty useful stuff, and the blend of Battle and Assault armor with my temp works pretty nicely. Luckily my stuff doesn't deteriorate too quick, since I don't really grind anywhere.
i've got black tantel armor i wear when i need it, but the rest of the time i alternate between my noob-issue camo pants and vest + gloves and black bandolier or my military travel pack if the inventory's full. occassionally i toss on a brown large headwrap to complete the desert look. my brown bothan fur pulls it off nice.
i've also got black/green camos, white pantaloons, a brown hooded cloak, black pants, a belt, black and green dusters, and white and black vests.
i might take some screenshots so i can challenge phenix for the best-looking bothan title ![]()
Desert Tan/Dirt Brown Camo duster
Camo pants with green and black, and a black flex-form shirt with Formal boots..it wasnt much but it was what i wore.
After that is was the Han look for a long while. Blue thin-striped pants (red stripe). White standard shirt, formal boots and when JTL came out the pocketed vest. Now i just wear the Marauder armor colored into a dark green and forest brown to blend in better on Kashyyk when using Conceal on Kashyyyk. A Ubese helmet for Roleplay purposes when needed. (Ubese Helmets supposidly provided a binocular feature, a filter system, scanning system, and were insulated as well as cooled to provide maximum comfort and ease to the wearer).
Edit: heres the only picture I have of my old Marauder armor..it was red and it didnt do me good to hide..thats the same ubese helmet and oddity of a T-21 that i use. The Barrel on the T-21 didnt set right..but to me it looks like a tiny prop or stand..so i didnt bother with it..
Its me in Red Armor.....
