Thread: Resource question
There may be a difference if either one of them is called for specifically in a schematic of some crafting profession. I don't know if either is required for any specific schematics though.
But as far as usage as a power source for harvesters or factories, there is no difference other than the PE stats.
As far as radioactives themselves when used as power, no, there is no difference.

This may be a stupid question, but is there a difference between say like Class 6 or 7 radioactive and Unknown Radioactive. Except for the stats of course.
Check with a Doctor/CM, I think class 1 is used in some Advanced Combat Medic Crafting, I guess some of the others are also used in Medic crafting
I don't think there is a correlation between creature difficulty/planet/HAM and resource quality.
Avian on Talus is/was very very high in PE and high in OQ. Fynocks can be harvested by the droves with almost no danger. The only danger gathering avian from them was getting bored doing it. Devil Gulginaws dropped the same meat, a bit harder fight for 5x the meat on one creature, and the Gulginaws do DB. So, would I rather kill 100 fynocks (who spawn like rabbits) or go kill 20 Devil Gulginaws (much harder to find).
At the same time, herbie on Dathomir was high. Harder to get, tho Kwis and Makloks both drop it. Same deal here, 100 Kwi vs 5 Maklok. And Dathomir isa much harder planet to start with.
I can recall thatany creatureon Corelliawas dropping bone that was in very good at one point. Regardless of HAM, the bone was all the same.

You are correct... There is no correlation.
It was suggested by other postersto make higher quality resources more prevelant on higher difficulty planets... But that idea has slowly faded into the past, and doesn't even show up in the SotP anymore.
bummer, I thought it was a great idea. Mind you tho, it would still have to have a pretty large randomness. I wouldn't mind seeing multi-planet resource groups. As it is now, we scan the stuff, a "shift" is found and the whole galaxy crowds that planet for 2 weeks. At least it's not all in one lair... now that is a scary thought...
... but then again, n00bs potentially get barred from "the good stuff"...
