Is there a difference between say like Class 6 or 7 radioactive and Unknown Radioactive. Except for the stats of course.

There may be a difference if either one of them is called for specifically in a schematic of some crafting profession. I don't know if either is required for any specific schematics though.

But as far as usage as a power source for harvesters or factories, there is no difference other than the PE stats.

Some schematics may call for a specific class of Radioactive, Liquid Petro, ect.

As far as radioactives themselves when used as power, no, there is no difference.

Jedi will be rare and difficult - No
Increased Dev communication - No
CU will balance combat - No
Most of the bugs from launch fixed - No
saintchuck will continue to pay - No

- I supported the CURB, the Devs and the attempt to make SWG a better game and have realized it didn't work so I'm quitting in less than 2 days and won't be tricked into coming back again. Trick me once, shame on you...

Check with a Doctor/CM, I think class 1 is used in some Advanced Combat Medic Crafting, I guess some of the others are also used in Medic crafting

I have just a small question for all the DEs out there,

I just started as a DE and i was wondering what Minerals/Chemicals are best to use?

The place where my city is built is ontop of a HUGE Chemical/Mineral deposit and i was wondering what kind is best....

Number 1: The mineral deposits move. All resources shift every week to 2 weeks.

Number 2: Most DE stuff ask for Resources with High Cond or High OQ. The better the resource in those areas the better the product. Also you can experiment the quality a lot higher. Look at the schematic before you build the item to see if the resource requirements as far as quality goes off of 100% CON or 50% CON 50% OQ or 100% OQ, etc.

Number 3: I found that I usually used a lot of copper, inert gas and some Extrusive Ore.

Hope that helps

I am not looking for what animal drops what resource,I swear I was just wondering if anyone has seen a link between the difficulty of the planet and the HAM of the creature and the quality of resources? An example would be is wooly hide dropped on dathomir or endor by a high HAM creature more likely to be betterquality compared to ,lets just say, bantha dropped wooly from tatooine ?

Sitting in camps all night makes me think of these things. Its all the camps fault hehe.Im too tired to test this theory at the moment ,butI can tell I just gave myself a new quest./sigh.Oh well....

I don't think there is a correlation between creature difficulty/planet/HAM and resource quality.

Avian on Talus is/was very very high in PE and high in OQ. Fynocks can be harvested by the droves with almost no danger. The only danger gathering avian from them was getting bored doing it. Devil Gulginaws dropped the same meat, a bit harder fight for 5x the meat on one creature, and the Gulginaws do DB. So, would I rather kill 100 fynocks (who spawn like rabbits) or go kill 20 Devil Gulginaws (much harder to find).

At the same time, herbie on Dathomir was high. Harder to get, tho Kwis and Makloks both drop it. Same deal here, 100 Kwi vs 5 Maklok. And Dathomir isa much harder planet to start with.

I can recall thatany creatureon Corelliawas dropping bone that was in very good at one point. Regardless of HAM, the bone was all the same.

You are correct... There is no correlation.

It was suggested by other postersto make higher quality resources more prevelant on higher difficulty planets... But that idea has slowly faded into the past, and doesn't even show up in the SotP anymore.

bummer, I thought it was a great idea. Mind you tho, it would still have to have a pretty large randomness. I wouldn't mind seeing multi-planet resource groups. As it is now, we scan the stuff, a "shift" is found and the whole galaxy crowds that planet for 2 weeks. At least it's not all in one lair... now that is a scary thought...

... but then again, n00bs potentially get barred from "the good stuff"...

True, sometimes the noobs get barred from the good stuff, but hopefully they wont stay noobs forever, eventually giving them something to look for. I like the idea, but honestly, I kindof like the randomness in the shifts

Thanks guys. You have saved me thousands of credits and many trips to the cloning center,Im sure.Idea officially dropped.Im actually glad to see that quality isnt tied to difficulty. It keeps gameplay at a more relaxed level and keeps my bank account at a level that keeps me relaxed. Now,if only my avian sourcewould quit shifting..../gets angry at kaadus but remembers post aboutfynocks /gets ticket to talus and begins to smile to himself.
