The graphics issue is being addressed I think, along with the new social animations pass - the guy said he was definitely interested in adding more gfx & animations for food & drink.

20 xp per plate is my #1 issue. Is this just me this is happening too? I hope it is that way I can get a csr to fix this problem on my end. Can anyone out there update a fellow chef on whatis going on? Or have we been nerfed soo bad it just ruined the whole profesion?

Other issue is that our buffs dont last as long or are as strong as some other stuff that is in the game. I mean Make this a little temping for people to buy and not just pet bantha food. I mean we put alot of grinding time into becoming a chef. I have heard rumors that chef food can give you upwards of 12k ham for 10 minutes. Is this true? Or is someone just blowing some steam in our faces?

I think those are the only issues I have with this profession as of right now. Can someone please let me know what is going on?

Now that factories and large flora farms are fixed...

  1. Somebuffs are pretty bad and don't last very long.

  2. The flavor stat on resources doesn't seem to do anything.

  3. Milk is not around.

  4. The food and drink status bar is broken.

  5. NO CHEF HATS!

I've been asked to gather a list of your top 5 issues. I know the thing on most of our minds is cloning and we're all frustrated but I'd like to get some crunstructive input here. TH is working hard to make a positive change in the way things work and if we work with him on this we can help make that happen. For myself, the top 5 as I see it are:

  1. Cloning - getting the fixes in to make clones viable

  2. Experimentation in thefinal creature combine- only able to experiment once.

  3. Rare ingredients for tissues

  4. Lack of variety in the tissue line - more tissues needed

  5. BE items in incorrect categories on the Bazaar and vendor

1) Cloning....enough said
2) Death/Decay system and how it relates to BE's sampling wild DB'ing creatures. I die ALOT doing this.
3) Tissues: Currently there is no reason to go above 12/13 since the cap is 25. I would like to see the max a tissue can be made around 27 (should make 24-25 a reasonable goal) or an increase of the cap to 35 (to allow for a reason to actually make good tissues).
4) Eggs and milk. Come on either get rid of them or put in a way to successfully harvest them in fairly decent quantities. 5 months is long enough for you to make a decision on this.
5) DNA storage and organization: First, we need somewhat to store this stuff when we are out sampling. Getting 50-75 samples isnt all that hard. Second, ALLOW ME TO RENAME DNA SO I CAN ORGANIZE IT AS I GET IT MORE EASILY.

Ok, heres my top 5

1. Cloning - 'nuff said [ I find creature experimentation part of cloning, to list it twice is redundant ]
2. Rare resources in tissues
3. Requirements for Profession not including a line neccesary (Exploration) or possibly an alternative to sampling in the wild such as others being able to bring you part of the creature, lootable perhaps, which you can then take the DNA from or sampling from corpses.
4. Lack of variety in tissues [and cloning but thats' covered by #1]
5. DNA storage [ Special Containers or something is needed ]

I'm very sure we've been over this before several times. But to reiterate things yet again...

  • 1. Cloning is useless, when can we expect this new system?

  • 2. Near impossible to gather resources .ie. milk, large amounts of egg or fish ect..

  • 3. Tissues not stacking and indications that some are still broken

  • 4. How does this decay system effect our dna samples since we run a high risk of being killed

  • 5. Sick of being ignored and generally being handed half-solutions/half-fixes

1) Experimentation: It's just a pain to have fail and success be used interchageably. This doesn't just happen with creatures; I was working an an anti-bleed tissue last night and had a "big failure" bring the effectiveness from +6 to +9

2) Economy: We seriously need some kind of marketable product. Our current market can be said to include everyone (as we can make petstims and vitality packs), but doctors can make comparable stimpacks. Make people stims work only on people, and petstims will become more valuable. In reality, discount petstims, we can sell things to high-level/master CH's (a la gurrecks and rancors). The annoying thing about our creatures is that the ones we can create are not the "best" creature for their CL range. If you devs don't want to give us something other than half-broken/ineffective/unstackable tissues and useless creatures, you can just go ahead and change all of our titles to Master Veterinarian.

3) Storage: Give us SOMETHING to put DNA in. It's a real pain to be carrying a bunch of crap around in your inventory, struggle to fit 50 samples in, and then only get 10 creatures out of the deal (really, probably less than 10, as crit fails on creature combines seem more common than other crit fails). Also, as some else pointed out...The ability to re-name DNA would REALLY be appreciated. It's a real pain to ahve to sort through 50 High-Quality DNA Samples to find the one you want to use for a specific slot.

4) Skill Points: I haven't done the math myself, but I think someone already mentioned that BE is the most expensive crafting profession in terms of skill points. Once you factor in a few needed skill trees (Exploration comes to mind, as well as artisan's business tree if you want to sell things), you've got even more to worry about. BH's spend the most skill points to master, and they rock out in PvP and PvE. Give us some kind of power proportional to our skill point expenditure.

5) Communication: "Communication, you say? What is this 'communication' of which you speak?" This isn't really an in-game issue so much as it is a general annoyance. There's been very little so far. I applaud your efforts, Talthazar, but there's only so much you can do. We need some kind of turnaround on the part of the higher-ups. I think the devs themselves are doing their best, but their bosses are beings @$$es about allowing them to release information for fear of some kind of PR backlash.

1. Cloning-Get cloning fixed before mounts come out. MakeBEs the only ones who can make a mount. No taming. I know it is probably already too late. Fixing cloning means: fix bugged clones, give us more if not every creature in the game(we can get DNA from all of them), fix experimentation, give us more options/flexibility to customize clones.

2. Tissues-Get rid of milk/eggs/seafood/mollusks or give us harvesters for these items. Fix the broken tissues and make them stack properly. We need more diversity...this means more types of tissues. Right now skilltapes are more popular than our tissues. Get rid of the skilltapes and Clothing attachments and let us make tissues with the same skill mods. Make our tissues fit in sockets of existing clothes.

3. DNA-We need a DNA storage device that does not count against our inventory space. We need to be able to rename DNA or at least show the attributes in the mouse-over popup.

4. Profession balance-Make our skills and relative power comparable to our skill point cost. Or decrease the skill point cost to reflect our brokeness and uselessness.

5. Courtesy-Treat us like the customers we are. We pay you to play. Act like it. Tell us when the game we bought and still pay for is going to be fixed as it should have been before it was sold. Communicate to us when and/or if our profession will be fixed.

1. Cloning, cloning, cloning.

2. Pet stims should give more BE xp than medical crafting xp.

3. Chef tissues are not economically balanced. They're too expensive to make versus the value that they give the chefs, therefore it's a dead product line.

4. There is still no satisfactory way to harvest all of our necessary resources. If milk added the same value to an item that a krayt scale does, we might understand, but their value does not match their rarity.

5. Other aspects of the game repeatedly interfere with the playability of our class. Some examples include:

A) nonCH mounts being added to the game before our cloning fixes

B)death and item decay

C)the projected most popular BE-made nonCH mount is a novice BE item so it will undoubtedly be underpriced in the market

D)limiting nonCH pets to only one means that nonCH's will only want kaadu mounts(see previous item)

E)need I mention cowardly gurrecks?

We need to know that we are being considered, and fought for, when changes occur in other areas of the game that potentially affect us. We also shouldn't have to learn about the future of our profession by reading about it on test center and the CH board. We know a lot of these problems are allowed to occur because this class has such a small population. Until these issues are adressed, the population will remain small.
