Okay after many mins of using google and many links that were broken i finally found a Freeware Middle mouse button utility that allows you to assign Double click to the middle mouse button.
BUT theres a easier way if you have a logictech mouse because they have all the functionality built into them.

The program was oringially designed for windows NT
Heres is the registry hack info to turn a Logictech mouse's middle button into a double click buttonm NOTE you hae to be useing a Logitech compatible mouse and have a logitech mouse driver installed.

I have to say that I love the macro. I use from time to time, because it's fun tolearn new stuff whenyou're in the middle of the road for XP in a number of professions.I'm not much of one for non-stop grinding...takes the fun out of selling your creations at a lower-level. But it is nice when you get bored of pumping out 300 bearded jax's...the XP could be increased a little for low level critters.
Macroing seems to be a very controversial subject in this game. I still remember how nice it was to survey resources before they accompanied the macro-nerf with a survey -nerf. Now you can't macro, which is fine with me...but you also can't sample worth crap.
I personally found a market with lower-level CH's who want cheap critters to grind out XP for. This makes the grind more rewarding. Using the SampleDNA command to run missions nets some money to use on other things...like sponsoring a fledgling artisan. Plus then you have another purpose to your sampling...money. I guess "whatever floats your boat" is the best thing I have to say in regards to macros. If you want to grind up to master BE and pump out rancors and what not...great. I just have a little more respect for thsoe who take the long road.
rofl Honey, if I'd known you were also a Bio-Engie, I'd have given you a hand with that, too.
Just wanted to point out that I have to put /pause 3 or /pause 1 between most of the commands to get the thing to work. If the tool doesn't count down, it's not giving you xp, I've noticed. I leave myself 5 seconds to select the resources. And I make sure I'm not doing it near a crafting station. And it seems to help if I manually make one micronutrient supplement first before I run the macro. /shrug Anyway, so I have three tools I use, and by the time I cycle through the three, it's good to go to start over. So I have it re-start the macro. Looks something like:
/ui action toolbarSlot11;/selectDraftSchematic 027;/pause 5;/nextCraftingStage;/pause3;/nextCraftingStage;/pause 3;/createPrototype practice no item;/pause 1;/createPrototype practice no item;/pause 1;/ui action toolbarSlot10;/selectDraftSchematic 027;/pause 5;/nextCraftingStage;/pause 3;/nextCraftingStage;/pause 3;/createPrototype practice no item;/pause 1;/createPrototype practice no item;/pause 1;/ui action toolbarSlot09;/selectDraftSchematic 027;/pause 5;/nextCraftingStage;/pause 3;/nextCraftingStage;/pause 3;/createPrototype practice no item;/pause 1;/createPrototype practice no item;/pause 1;/ui action toolbarSlot07;
I just switch to my toolbar #6, which is empty, to stop. Good to hear /dump works. I'll have to try that. It also helps if you turn off mouselook with the Alt key before you start doing the grind macro, 'cause then you can leave your mouse over where you have your resources and just keep clicking on those.
looped-macro surveying still works.... those message boxes dont stop the macro from working.. hehe
gah.. NOW you guys tell me about the double click thing.. sheesh.. and i just hit master a couple days before that post about it...
To those looking at this thread trying to figure out what the hell all this macro stuff is all about I say this: Don't give up!!!!
Last night I was at the end of my rope trying to get this stinking macro to work. What ended up helping me was putting /pause 1in between two of my /nextCraftingStage lines. I then was able to work the macro into the 5 crafting tool loop that someone posted earlier. Holy crap is this sooo much easier than doing all the grinding by hand.
When it all came together and worked correctly it was like theskies opened up and I was surounded by the heavenly hosts. The angels were all singing on high. "You da man..."
Ok so maybe it was late and I had taken in a bit too much radtiation from my monitors but you get the idea.
To add more fuel I'll post my final macro this evening (at work right now). I kind of took bits and pieces from other people to get mine to finally work. It's strange how there are so many that do the same thing yet look so different.
i've read all the posts and have tried to make this work about 20 times now, about 4 hours trying to do this. Is there a way to do this with just 1 crafting tool and 1 macro? could someone just lay it out strait, plain and simple for me all this stuff is so complicated and everything is there a simple way i'm asking i guess or at least more simple
