negative faction bounties would get every person in the game on the terminals constantly! any faction sided player is going to have a womping negative fation towards the opposing faction of their choice. the only fair way of having player bounties IMO is granted for Smugglers who are caught with slicing tools, and/or sliced items, spice. Non-smugglers should get player bounties when caught with sliced items, and/or spice.

Smugglers are now after CU (Unless something else comes up). Smugglers are unbeknowest to us on the very bottom of the list and as new things come up they just like to add them above Smugglers since they tend to forget smugglers even have a place in SWG.

Wellthanks - your opinion really means a lot to me personallyas a BH ( hint = NOT A LOT)

did a BH force you to become a Jedi?. Did a BH force you to go on the terminals?.

once again a Jediin the BH forum, not here to educate or discuss, but to berate. Come back pleasewhen you want to contribute something?

I am going to be a little more considerate than one of my other posts on this subject. But how many times a week is a player bounty system proposed on these boards where somebody wants to hunt any player in the game under certain rules of course. Once again I say that I do not pay to be your content. I am in no way talking about Jedi Bounties. If a system is put in place as has been suggested by others where you can register to be part of these bounty system this is fine.

I understand that Jedi should live in fear and anyone who would reigster for this system should live in fear but your casual everyday crafter or PvE player just does not want to participate in a player bounty system.

Take it with a grain of salt, but Wes answered a question I had posted in another thread about the profession revamps coming after CU. We're in the mix, but where he doesn't know. Also mention that other profession corrospondents are pushing for us to be one of the first ones done.(As much weight as that will hold with DEVs your guess is as good as mine)

if that was the case my jedi would be on the terminals forever. I'm -5k imperial, -5k valarian, -5k nyax, -5k janta and after the village grind, -10,000,000,000,000,000,000 quenker

Now what do you have to kill to get out of that negative quenker faction?

I've been killing Vorritor trackers to get out of that deficit, but now i'm down to -17,500,000,000,000 vorritor faction standing. It's just a vicious cycle.

The thing is, that means that ANYONE who does any of the Theme Parks would be on the Bounty Hunter terminals, even if they never, ever PvP. Good luck NOT having -5000 faction with either the Empire or the Alliance if you even so much as do the Alliance or Imperial Theme Parks. For that matter, I went from 400 Valarian to -4940 Valarian just from running Jabba's Theme Park, and I certainly don't consider that to be high end content (completed as a Novice Rifleman).

I am all in favor of adding new types of marks to the Bounty Hunter terminals, but those marks should not be added for performing functions already in the game. Players shouldn't AVOID primary content (Jedi is not primary content, since it must be so thoroughly unlocked) simply because they don't want to be tracked down and killed by someone with 250 points of pure combat skills. If you want to introduce NEW types of OPTIONAL missions (Smuggling Missions for example), and failing those can get you on the Bounty Hunter terminals, I say hell yes!

About the only exception I could imagine would be concerning the GCW, but if that is the case, you would need to get a whole lot more than -5000 faction wit the Imperials or the Alliance. If that total could tick upwards considerably, that would be fair. And if there were missions you could complete to reduce your negative faction with them (a difficult, lenghty mission that allows you to hack into their computer system and alter your records), that would be a good counter-point. I also think that if you get killed by a Bounty Hunter under that system, your "extra" negative faction should reset.

In other words, people (excluding Jedi) should only be on the Bounty Hunter terminals for failing to do something in-game. If there is a way to both 1) experience the full GCW content and 2) avoid being hunted, I'd be all for normal people going up on the Bounty Hunter terminals. In fact, I suspect there'd be a certain percentage of people actively trying to get on the terminals just to see if they can best a Bounty Hunter.

But as soon as being on the terminals prevents people from accessing normal content (of which there is already too little), that system is DEAD IN THE WATER. Not going to happen. The Devs are not going to screw the majority in order to make the game more fun for the minority. By most other profession standards, Bounty Hunters already HAVE the most content anyhow. And if you don't believe that, ask an Image Designer.

i think player bounties could be instituted within guilds or guild wars. I'm not saying it would be easy for the dev's to program, but it would be fun if we could take out bounties against guild members. I don't mean I hate guild mates, I just mean it would be another fun way to duel.

As for guild wars, being able to take bounties on the opposing guild's top leaders would be cool. In a way if you have a guild war you can do this, but I'm thinking it would be more fun to track them and use droids...

I don't know about this whole -5000 faction deal, but I think that player bounties would rock. Like if you did too many missions for jabba then Valerian would put a bounty on you, or if you killed too many Rebel or Imperial Generals then the opposing side would put one on you. Would make it a lot more fun to actually have some risk assosciated with things

I guess it could be done so that you only get the bounty the first time you go over -5000 plus, as someone else said if the faction had the means within the story to employ a bounty hunter. Still I'm not sure its such a good idea.

What if high ranking members of the Imp / Reb factions gained a sort of "visability" if they are seen overt by an opposite faction Member / NPC?

Limit it to Warrant Officer 2 and above, and have "visability" occur only if overt (not TEF'd) and it could be cool.

Seriously, if the Rebels see someone of my rank running around overt someone is gonnawrite my name down...

I'm sorry buddy but I've seen this post about a Million times.

But if I could throw my two cents in, just incase the Devs do read this.

Oncea person gets to a -5000 faction points, I would limited to just Rebel , Imp , Jabba only.

The person is given a Option to choose to participate in PVP player bounty. That way no one can be forced to PVP. And once a player is killed his Faction is set back to zero or maybe half or at least -500.

If there is any othere ideas out there, one thing you need to make sure. That there is no Exploite and no Player Griveing

I would even go with NPC BHs, but I mean it is dumb when nothing in the game has any reprecussions at all.
