Much to learn you have. Generally getting health up is the best thing as its the most commonly hit pool, this means experimenting on the physique line. Get sum junk dna and fiddle around with the different experimentation lines and see how each one effects the final outcome ![]()
How are you experimenting to get the best dps? Last I heard was speed then damage on components, followed by damage then speed on the weapon - does this still hold or do 8/4 combinations work better for example?

DPS stands for Damage Per Second. This is a calculated statistic as per the following formula:
Average Damage/Speed
or
((Min Damage + Max Damage)/2 ) /Speed
You can't expirement directly into DPS, but increasing the Speed or the Damage of a weapon will increase its DPS. The DPS is listed more as a convience by the Devs.
Well everyones talking DPS. But theres a base DPS and a modified DPS. I'm assuming the modified is where it's at?
Dumb question but it's late/early.
I don't believe that DPS is really all that important since the specials limit the speed you can fire your weapon, making a real low speed(lower than say 1.5?) almost not worth spending the points on it. My guildies would rather see a high dmg with around 2.0 or lower base speed since their skills will lower it significantly. SAC is also important to most classes if the person using that weapon like to do high level specials.
I usually spend about 5-7 points on dmg then spend about 1 or 2 on spd and the rest on effectiveness/
In any case, I'm worrying less about DPS nowadays. For the moment, I've been playing with the following approach. 1) I'm trying to get SAC to 105 or less. 2) For speed, I try to get pistols 2.0 or less and everything else 2.5 or less. 3) The rest of my exp points go into damage.
It seems to work pretty well especially for people that want low SAC.
