Thread: am I missing something?
Just to wonder what specials are you using when you are shooting them. Only a few do actual damage now. The others are debuffs and rooters. My setup I use for right now on most creatures is this:
Warning Shot - Debuffs creatures -80
Intimadate Shot
Stopping Shot - Holds creature for a few seconds and lets you get a few shots in before they come at you again..or you can use the time to back up again and retarget.
Then I rotate back and forth between Quickdraw and Body Shot (both damage shots, Quickdraw is a very fast retimer on it though and by the time you use it a second time..Body Shot is up and ready again).
If you are going up against Humanoid type of charactersthat use weapons then add in Disarm Shot after your stopping shot to keep them from shooting you for a few seconds.
If a creature or humanoid type of character should close in and get within 5m of you then switch over to firearm strike and knock those suckers to the ground. Step back hit them again with a stopping shot and return to Quickdraw and Body Shot until the end of the battle.
If you are in a group....stand back away from the creatures (but of course still within your guns range) let the melee guys go in and use taunt to pull the aggro to them. Use your stopping shot and your debuff shot to help the melee characters out. Once again if the creatures aggro on you and get close drop them with a firearm strike step back and hit them with stopping shot and run back again to a safe distance. Hopefully by that time the melee guys will be free to come to your aid with taunt again and you will be free to go back to Crowd Control. If there is more than one creature attacking the others in the group realign yourself to get the best shot in and use your AoE cone shots of Fan Shot and Burst Shot to help them out. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT use these shots in Soloing. You will pull aggro of more than one creature and you will need a cloning soon. Also, as the devs put in their update on the launch pad...if you have your shot set to repeat as soon as you go incap make sure to take it off that before you come unincapped or you will begin firing again. We are more a grouping type of character now..but with the right thinking and uses of specials and foods/drinks and bacta you should make it through missions of at least one to two levels below you and get full xp on those. The days of soloing on the upper level creatures on planets are over. We now have to use our minds and not just be tanks with guns. I hope this helps you out and I hope you give this new way of playing a chance. I really hated it at first until I figured out how to handle my specials..now I find it even more fun this way than the old ways. I don't feel like a terminator in Star Wars anymore with buffs that no creature could have a chance to beat me with. I now feel like what I think anyone in a real universe like this must feel like. Could I die going into this battle? The answer is, if you don't think..then yes you will.

Ive been reading the post here about the bh jedi problems and i feel im missing something. Wanting to make jedi have the non pvp option doesnt even make sence. Anyone who takes this option will jsut go pvp when they are done template. If a 38k jedi can own one bh no prob, why is it bad that 2 bhs work together. If jedi dont get hunted they can finish there template in a week in groups. It used to take 6months to grind a full temp, which is easily possible soloing the new system. Is all this stuff the typical whining? Saying a bh sat on my door for 90 minutes when you can get in your hosue while teffed is lame
