Thread: A couple of questions

I just came back to the game and decided to try a couple of Jedi missions, So I’m a bit of a MBH noob here.
1. I was hunting a Jedi a couple days ago and found out he was in his city cantina that was "Private". Well he came out with his groupies and was standing next to me, and all of a sudden he attacked me. Needless to say he killed me after blocking all most all of my attacks and I had to watch his dumbass groupies dance around like monkeys and shouting how uber they were.
Anyways, can Jedi target me and attack me if they are my mark/mission from a terminal? I was able to target and attack him at any time, but can they do the same to me?
2. Im a Wookiee MBH, how important is armor when hunting Jedi?
3. Where would I find the detonators to put inside droids? Can any droids have one?
4. Is there any attack that has a higher chance to be non block able by a light saber?
5. Is there anything special to do when hunting a Jedi? Like, and precautions other than buffing up?
My second mission came upon another Jedi that was yet again near his cities Cantina. He was wearing a full suit of composite armor and had a TKM title under his name. At first sight of this I was thinking 'This is my mark? What the hell!'.
I was behind a building on my swoop and had my camera positioned so I could see and target him, but assumed he couldn’t see me. Eventually someone else came and ran in front of me, and not too long after that the Jedi came running towards me, so I just sped off. He sent me a tell saying "come back and play". I asked him "why do you say that?" and he replied "im not stupid".
So again, how did he know I was after him? I didn’t have my MBH title up. I guess he could have looked at my badges, but still why would he run towards me?
WHY can Jedi wear composite armor AND be a TKM? That’s a bit ludicrous.

I've read somewhere about the Jedi seeing you as a RED DOT in certain circumstances. It was not specified what these circumstances were and it is a very new thing that seems to have come with the JTLS patch.
Best thing is to try and approach them when they are in a busy area with lots on their radar. they r less likely to spot you.
if anyone has more info on this question of us showing as RED on the jedis radar, please enlighten us

as for your detonator droid, ask around on the DE forums. if i recall correctly the really good ones will cost a lot due to limited shifts of certain resources. Though that was a couple of months ago and on Lowca. I never bothered making one due to these costs (on my alt obviously).

Can guns be fired from the YT-1300 pilot, or must us freelancers get a group just to be able to use our special ship (in which case we are not only being screwed over for the fact imp+reb get 3 master ships,but we only get one thats a solo - and that needs loot and crap anyhow)?
Is it possible to pvp as a freelance pilot?
Is it possible toget both rebel/imperial pilot and freelance pilot at once?
Do you have to grind master pilot with duty missions, or will it be mission based like the lower skills?

Ill try to make this brief as I can but I would like to fully explain. Ill number the question to make it easier to respond. and thanks in advance for some help.
1) I was, until today, using a 3rd generation LS the only good pearl I have and its not great is a -7fc
the other 2 were -2 and -4. If Im not mistaken the fc of my 3rd generation was 23. I deciced to try to make a decent first generation. my FC on it is 6 which now allows me to spam any special I want such as flurry 1 or mind hit 3, Now this brings me to the questions in this are.
a)Would making a Second Generation result in the same (or basically same force power usage) in
other words would it allow me to spam specials with little or no downtime?
b)Previously my tactics for hunting were to hit 1 creature out of the lair, wait until the other spawns came near and the use my 3rd gen to flurry. This is where I could only do 2 to 3 lairs then have about a 5-10 min down time waiting for my Force to regain (my current force is 2075 with 13 regain) Today after using the 1st gen I have had to change tactics a little. For example looking for single creatures. Am I missing something here that would help me out?
2)Crafting LS the best crafting tool that I have been able to make was a -2.68 is there anything that could help me improve this I was crafting in a research center near a crafting station with +43.5 or something near that?
2a)My metirials that I used in my tool kit were quit good except for I could not find any Chemical that had a CD stat. Is there any chemical that has CD or are we stuck without it?
2b)The crafting station I was using was a private one (it told me I do not have access to the output hopper) do I still recieve the +43.5 or do I need to find a public one. (1 point to bring up is my LS Skills are currently 4001)
3) one more question in regards to non-jedi skills I have Doc 0440 so that I am able to buff myself and scout for the terain and maskscent. Therefor I have really no defence except what I get for jedi skill boxes. Would it make that much of a difference to get some TKA or Fencer for the defences?

1. a I exclusively use a 1st gen for creatures, second gen and above I dont see as worth it for creatures, the force cost increaseis too high for the damage gain.
1.b The creatures you are hunting seem very tough for you if you can only do one or two at a time, see answer to 3 below and also have stockpiles of aircake and pikita pie and you will be able to take many more creatures at once. I am 4003LS and take 6 GVT at once by using flurry with a 1st gen 1H
2 This is approx inline with what I was able to do at technique1, probably better than i could get
2a Ive never seen one with CD, I just get as good OQ as possible.
2b as long as you can experiment you are getting the benefits of the 43.5
3. Defences from other professions help enormously, melee defence and mitigation will help you get xp much faster, seriously concider using you second character as your buffer and leavingterrain neg.,defences and (if you are this way inclined) feign death.

sticking with a good first gen for grinding is probably best if you dont have some realy nice crystals.
no offence but those LS crafting tools suck. i cant complain i dont have any saber tech yet so the ones i craft turn out pretty similar. there is a vendor on my server that sells facotry crates of 5 15.00 tools for 6k. if you cant find any one selling these ask a high level jedi to make some for you.
find a cheff vendor and buy some bespin pot and some pyollian cake, these give a bonus to assebly and esperimentation.
it only seems to be metals that have CD, gemstone and checmicals have unit toughness. with gas its only oq that you should be worried about.
With a good first gen saber, you can prett much spam any special all day long. especialy if you put a -9 crystal in it.
Not sure about whether a crafting station needs to be public or private to get the benifit, or if it realy matters. personally i use a private one.
As for non jedi skills. taking a profession like TKA or fencer could help alot while grinding. the melee defence and mitigation 3 you get from these helps alot. i would drop doc down to just some medic. scout 3000 is a life saver with its terrain negotiation.

I have not played SWG in some time. Of course we have had some changes. With my respecI have been looking at a different character.I have been trying a couple of quest.The Genosians just flatown me and the spiders and wookies on the 4th level of the Rryatt Trials beat the stuff out of me. I do notget past the first spider. They just flat kick my butt. What am I doing wrong?
My character is TKM/Doc 4-0-2-4/Sword 0-0-4-4
I am not wearing armor and using a Scythe Sword.
They are hitting me for 160+ every hit and I hit for about 350-400.
Any ideas of what I am doing wrong? or have they made it were you just flat need to group to get throught those places.

Perhaps a dumb question, but are you running CoB? I will tell you, however, that solo'ing is not as easy as it used to be. My main toon is TKM\MHS\some pike and solo'ing can be tough some times. But as a TANK I have much better luck and more importantly...fun.

make sure you are using an improved Center of Being Macro to help mitigate some of the damge, use KD, armor break, and some power attacks, but i would recommend using tkm with the swordsman moves, ditch the scythe for the ryatt trails, defense and heals are your only way through, turn on CoB and take some vegersepine for a +100 on melee defense, then use the swordsman moves while in tkm mode to execute more damage, that should help but soloing the ryatt trails is not a very simple task just keep at it dont try and agro too many, also there are higher HAM's for creatures on the trail depending on what instance you enter upon going into them, instance one is the hardest with the most HAM, for the lowest HAM go to the sixth instance easier to solo
