all depends on what you concider "worth it". Will it be a huge money maker? no. Will it be a relatively easy, stress free profession? no. Can you expect bugs, broken capabilities, and a host of other issues? yes. Do I think its worth it? hell yea! There's something about building droids, and about the complexity of the profession that I love. Add to that the very custom nature of droids (don't think its possible to stock every combination), and I still haven't found another profession I enjoy half as much as DE.

DE is fun, my crafter will always be one, but part of that may be stubborness. I won't tell people not to become a DE, yet I will warn them that being one right now is pretty painfull.

As I've told people in the past.

Read all of the stickies before you decide.Take a look at the Droid Issues thread and other threads, that describe the DE profession.

DE has the highest bug per feature ratio. Well over 90% of the items that we craft has an issue in some way, shape, or form. If you can look past that, then welcome aboard.

There is also the computer upgrade comparison. If you enjoy getting frustrated at doing computer upgrades for yourself, or a friend, with limited available funds/parts and you like sitting there looking at the screen, when something doesn't work just quite right, then DE is for you. Otherwise, you might want to try a profession that can be a little less aggrovating, like Armorsmith or Weaponsmith.

Thats a great analogy... and now you know why my computer seems to break down every other month...

I spent part of this weekend reformating my computer. I reformated the computer 3 different times because I didn't like the way the things were loading.

I sat around reconfiguring my bios for an hour, after I got things up and running again. And I'm thinking about doing it all over this weekend, because I have a program issue that eats away at my CPU cycles everytime it starts running, while another program is running in the back ground. I've dealt with this same program issue 3 times now and the only thing that has removed the issue is a fresh install. Removing the program and reinstalling it doesn't work, even when I manually hunt it down using regedit.

I think that it is instances such as the above mentioned that will tell you whether or not you will find DE as being worth it.

Im spending every day grinding to get my fs XP I've only got 2 unlocks left and i know IM not going to have enough XP to unlock on my last phase. I waste my time e every day trying to get atleast 100k fs XP witch is hard capping on carbines rifles and pistols. Is it even still worth it getting jedi IM getting to the point where IM starting to get really really bored of grinding every day and for motivation i even went out and bought a mace windo action figure to keep at my desk for motivation. So is jedi worth all this time IM putting in?

You have to make the decision/call. You knew the time it would take to get jedi, so why complain about the grind. You are not alone in this task.

well...if swinging a saber makes ALOT more grinding doable then yes its worth it...if you just wanna be a jedi because its your dream and don't care about power then yes.

If you want to be powerful then no it isn't...getting the pearls you need costs millions upon millions of credits much of which will be wasted because the tuning is broken atm. I am not sure anybody has tuned their way to a perfect saber since CU. Premiums don't drop, goods and fairs are what you have to work with and having tuned close to 100...my best is still a 90 -4 FC...

Constant nerfing as well...never any enhancement to power

make your call

If you are getting bored of grinding but still want to pursue finishing the quest and going on, take a short break. Go hunt some krayts or Force sensitive NPC's on dant. You will need a ton of pearls to tune to get anything close to decent for a good saber. Many people wait till they are done with the village before starting this search. The only pearls that drop now are "good" It will still bring in exp, though not as fast, but will be a break from the norm and offer a reward for the future profession you want. But like the others have said, If you truely are tired of the grind, you will dread the Jedi grind if you happen to get on the terms while doing it.
