No one has replied because we have been asking ourselves the same question. Some of the long time commandos have already left.

Oh yeah, it's worth it....but only if your strong enough.

Sorry had to throw the Men in Black referenance in there.

And yes we are all still trying to decide that ourselves.

I have been busy getting glowy for the first time, and I have read a lot of you having a beef with CU and limitations. So let me ask honestly, is it worth the grind to becomea Jedi. I think it would be cool, but is there meaning once the trails are complete or will I just be hiding from BH's?

Depends what meaning you seek.. I can tell you that if you are not smart about how you play then yes you will spend a lot of time running and dying and loosing xp you spent hours to get. If you choose the smart, yet undeniably slower path then you will have less problems. In either case be prepared for an investment because this will take a long time to finish.

I'm having a great time with it and taking my time. I take breaks for days at a time and go talk to people or shop or something just to break up the monotony. The FS grind was bad enough trying to rush through so now I'm stopping along the way to smell the cookies.

If this kind of investment doesn't sound like it is for you then you can still take some of the FS skills to enhance your template and have a blast in PvP for the GCW. There are plenty of quests both on and off Kashyyk so there is certainly plenty to do if you don't want to go the Jedi route.

It all depends on whether or not you want jedi, if you want to be the best or just have a good time, and most importantly, how much grinding you have to do and if you're up to it and committed to it.

If you're committed to getting it, it's worth it.

If you are up to a long FS grind and long Jedi grind, always watching EVERY dot on both overhead map and radar, ready to defend yourself froma Bounty Hunter, then yes.

It's a long hard grind, alot of stuff to put up with. But for the past week I've leveled up to almost MLS and some other skills, so far everyday I've said I am loving this. But I've been playing VERY SAFE, nobody sees me as a Jedi outside of my faction grinding group. No NPCs ever see me as a Jedi either. No robes or LS. And I am not on the BH terminals yet, thankfully. I will be soon, and hoepfully I will have enough to be a fair fight when it does.

Jedi are having issues, but it is worth it. And at least you get a free character one you unlock. The only ones I've seen hate it recently are those getting too much BH attention. But that will be fixed soon I hope, since they forced us to group for XP, thus being a target.

Allow me to adjust my questions: What is it about being a Jedi that you enjoy? I read a lot of complaining.

I'm about to start grinding again the last tree to unlock. I think that when i do unlock,I will be most staisfied that i got my Jedi...but to be honest the whole Jedi Grind and the negativity that surrounds it is soemthing that doesnt bother me in the least...the fact that my character IS a Jedi will be reward enough for me. I will Roleplay a little, and try my hardest to stay off the terms. I will have an ingame master as I am Padawan, and will hunt alone regardless of how long it takes.

Thats my take on it...after all its only a game

Tottaly is as long they fix the exit quest with mel. Doesnt seem that far that we grind threw 6 months and be stoped by somthing you have no power over.

Sorry, I hit a button to many times. The question is whether or not being a Jedi is worth it in a post CU world? Do you have fun with GCW? Are BH's really that bad.

this is actually some of the best news i've ever read about Jedi. i've been soloing the game since day two, so more solo, slow progression will make NO DIFFERENCE to me what so ever.

i am not in a RUSH to level my Jedi to master because...well...then what? start all over with my unlocked character?

i am going to enjoy the journey to Jedi as much as i have enjoyed the past near two years playing the game.

To me it was I grinded holo's and quit soon after. Came back later and did the village and finished Pre CU. I am now in the profession I wanted ever since I first loaded this addicting game lol. Seriously though.. If you feel the village is a pain and that it takes too long, Jedi is not for you. It take roughly 7.5 mil exp to complete the village. 30-36mil to finish your jedi temp. You get 6k per kill we only get 1000 or less. Right now it is hard for Jedi to effectively level solo and gain ground on those boxes. Pre Cu I could grind out 100-200k easy on a 3 hour buff solo. Im lucky now to get 25k an hour solo. Ive been grouping alot since CU, been on the boards and have lost to BH's. But all in all I am where I wanted to be. May take me a while, but im enjoying it.
